Excess Water Use Report (1204 -09) <br />Report: General Services Director 11/17/88 <br />In answer to Council questions General Services Director Sennewald <br />described the benefits of new wells during future droughts, the unintentional <br />money accumulated due to penalties, and requirements to expend surplus funds <br />on water related projects. <br />Nita Spangler, 970 Edgewood, expressed concern for our aquifer and asked <br />Council for a special study session to discuss expenditure of surplus <br />funds and water management. <br />Ralph Nobles, 3720 Country Club Drive, advised decreasing surcharge would <br />remove incentive to conserve water. <br />a. M /S: Buchan /Murray to recommend that the City retain the services of a <br />hydrologist as the first step of a project to construct three water wells <br />from surplus excess water use charges. <br />Motion carried on the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Buchan, Bury, Claire, LaBerge, Murray and Mayor <br />Greenalch <br />Noes: Councilman Stangel MINUTE ORDER NO. 88 -183 <br />b.
