Redwood City,June 30,1910....$ p.m. <br />Regular adjourned meeting of Board of Town Trustees held. <br />Roll Call. Present Trustees President aeO.A.Merrill, Carl Beeger,.RObt. Brown, E.H. <br />Sampson, C.J.Hynding, .Town C1erk,G.C.Plump. <br />City Attorney reports amended document relative to the street lighting contract. He <br />was instructed to submit same to the representative of the United Gas and Electric Company. <br />Trustee Hynding,seeonded by Trustee Beeger,mOved that the City purchase 1000 copies of <br />the Womants club 4th of July edition of the Redwood City Democrat ,for $75.90,to be turned <br />over to the Board of Trade for distribution. Motion carried. <br />Trustee Brown,seeonded by Trustee Sampson, moved that Ordinance No. 931introduced June <br />6,1910, -An Ordinance imposing a taxon all persons doing business in the Town of Redwood <br />CitY,be laid over 90 days for further consideration. Motion carried. <br />Trustee Sampson 9 seconded by Trustee Beeger,movdd that J.C.Berg and other Class A 11 - <br />cense holders be granted the privilege of using other than one door facing on street dur- <br />ing celebration,July 2nd and 4th,1910. Motion carried. <br />Trustee Hynding,seconded by Trustee Beeger,moved that Billiard Halls be granted the <br />same privilege as saloons on July 2nd and 4th. Motion carried. <br />Trustee HYndin g,$econded by Trustee Sampson,moved that the action�of the Marshal in <br />appointing Chris Stillison, Maurice Swift and Berthold L.Werder Deputy Marshals be approu <br />ed. Motion carried. <br />Trustee Hynding,Seconded by Trustee Beeger,moved that the Clerk notify Class A liquor <br />dealers not to sell or give any liquor for one year to G.B.Roekwell. Motion carried.. <br />Communication relative to convention- Of Fire Chiefs of Pacific Coast was referred to <br />Chief Winter. <br />Communication from S.P.R.R.Co.,relative to certain line fence on right of way was re- <br />ferred to City Attprney,on motion of Trustee Hynding,Seconded by Trustee Brown. <br />Affidavits of J.V.Swift showing publishing of notices in the matter of the applications <br />of J.M.Williamson and P.A.Roussel,for Class A liquor licenses,was on motion of Trustee. <br />Hynding, seconded by Trustee Brown,received and filed. <br />Application of P.A.Roussel,for a Class A liquor license. Committee on Public Morals <br />recommended that said application-bd denied. <br />Trustee Sampson. seconded by Truatee Beeger,moved that said application be denied. <br />Motion, carried. <br />Application of J.M.Williamson for a permit for a Class "A" liquor license. <br />Trustee HYnding,seconded by Trustee Sampson,moved that said application be granted on <br />receiving a favorable report from the Committee on ]public Morals. Motion carried. <br />Application of P.,Demartini for a Class "A" liquor license. <br />Trustee Sampson,seconded by Trustee Beeger,moved that action be deferred until July 5, <br />1910. Motion carried. <br />Application of E.F.Schumacher for a permit for a Class "S" liquor license at 240 Main <br />Street. <br />
