<br />Roll Call; Present, Trustees President Geo. A. Merrill, Carl Beeger, Roblt Brown,
<br />C. J. Hynding, E. H- Sampson,
<br />Communications:
<br />Town. Clark, G. C. Plump -
<br />A communication from league of California Municipalities relative to the cities
<br />appropriating certain sum of money for advertising, booklets ,stereoptician views of Cali-
<br />fornia cities, etc, at the National Convention of League to be held at Chicago,September,
<br />1911.
<br />Trustee Hynding,seconded by Trustee Brown,moved said communication be received and
<br />filed and referred to San Mateo County Development Board. Motion carried.
<br />Unfinished Business:
<br />Application of Edw. F. Fitzpatrick for a street railroad franchise on certain
<br />streets in the Town of Redwood C1ty,received and filed on April 17,1911, and continued
<br />for further, consideration to this day,April 24,1911, was taken up and disct}ssed by the
<br />Board and several citizens present.
<br />Trustee Sampson, seconded by Trustee Hynding, moved the adoption of the following
<br />`® order and resolution of said Board declaring its intention to grant said Application .
<br />Motion carried by the following vote:
<br />Ayes Trustees, Carl Beeger, Rob't Brown, C. J. Hynding, E. H. Sampson, Geo. -A. Merrill,

<br />State of California, declaring the purpose.and intention of the said Board of Trustees to
<br />gra= an application which has been made by Edw. F. Fitzpatrick for the right, privilege
<br />and frandllse,of constructing, operating and maintaining upon, over and across certain
<br />streets, roads, avenues and high -ways in said Town of Redwood City, a street railroad to
<br />be operated by electricity, gas, gasolene motors, horse power, or any other means of pro-
<br />pulsion that may be hereafter used as the motive power for the operation of street rail-
<br />roads, and to Qrect poles,and wires along the said streets, roads, avenues and'high-ways
<br />for transmitting electric power along and upon said streets, roads, avenues and high-xaYs,
<br />for the purposes of said street rail -road, and directing that notice be given of said aP-
<br />plication, and of the purpose and intention of said Board of Trustees of said Town of Red-
<br />wood City, to grant the same:
<br />wAERF4AS Edw. F. Fitzpatrick of the Town of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, state
<br />of California, did on the 17th day of April, 1911, make written application to this Board
<br />for the grsnt of a certain right, privilege and franchise for the term of Fifty (50) years
<br />from and after the date of the granting of same, to construct, operate and maintain a
<br />.
