0 <br />I <br />0 <br />I <br />continue for a period of ten ( 10 ) days , then the Power Company shall have the rig22t , at <br />its option , to cancel and terminate this contract, or to discontinue the delivery of <br />electric energy withuot cancelling or terminating this contract, until all money due to ii: <br />under the terms i2ereof, shall have been paid; and this option may be exercised by the <br />Power Company whenever and as often as any such default shall occur and continue for the i <br />period of ten (10) days; provided, however, that the Power Company shall in every <br />instance Five the Consumer notice of its intention to exercise such option, at least five( <br />(5) days before terminating this contract or discontinuing the delivery of such energy. <br />such notice must be in writing and may be served either by delivering the same to the gen- <br />consumer personally, or by depositing the same , with the postage thereon fully paid , in <br />the United States mail, 14addressed to the Consumer at Redwood Cit Y, California, <br />.Neither delay nov Omission on the Patt Of the Power Company to exercise such option <br />at any time shall be deemed to be a waiver by it Of its right to exercise the same; <br />nor shall the existence of ang unliquidated claim or demand in favor of the Consumer <br />and against the Power Dompany, at any time, take away or in any manner affect the Power Ct, <br />Company's right to exercise such option. <br />Such electric energy shall, except as hereinafter otherwise provided, be sold at, <br />delivered to and paid for by the Consumer according to the following schedule of rates, <br />VIZ: <br />Two and one quarter {24{} cents per Kilo -watt hour for the first ten thousand {lA, <br />(10,000) Kilo -watt hours per month; Two (2) cents per Kilo -watt hour for the next <br />five thousand (5,000) Kilo -watt hours per month; and one and one half (12) cents per <br />Kilo -watt hour for all over fifteen thousand (159000) Kilo -watt hours per month. <br />At all times during the term of this contract, except as herein otherwise <br />provided, the Power Company shall furnish and deliver to the Consumer, and the Consumer <br />shall purchase and take from the Power CompanY, and pay the Power Company for all of the <br />electric energy which shall be required for municipal lightimg and power purposes by said <br />Town of Redwood City and fOr sale by said Town of Redwood City to its consumers Of <br />electricity, in the event that said Town of Redwood City shall engage in the business <br />of selling and distributing electric energy. <br />the term of <br />This contract shall continue in force until the expiration of Five (5) years <br />Y A <br />from and after the date hereof. <br />The Power Company shall begin to deliver such energy to the Consumer on the <br />date hereof. <br />such energy shall be delivered by the Powe m Company to the Consumer at the-gwi' <br />Switch Board of the Consumer to be installed in the latter's said new Town Hall. <br />If the Consuumer shall during the term hereof change its street lighting system <br />from a multiple to a series street eystem , and the Consumer shall desire the Power <br />Company to furnish the necessary labor and lamps required for the proper care and <br />maintenance of said series system, it, the Consumer, small notify the Power Company <br />of that fact, by thirty(30) days written notice, and from and after the expiration Of. sand <br />thirty (30) days , the Power Company will install in the latterls sub -station the are tub;' <br />required for operating said series system and will furnishall labor and lamps required f07 <br />the proper care and. maintenance , but not the construction of said series street lighting <br />system and thereupon the rates to be paid by the Consumer to,.the Power company for all <br />electric energy sold and delivered hereunder shall be according to*the following <br />schedule. <br />1 <br />
