Redwood City, Sept. 16th.,1912, 8 O�clock,P.M.
<br />The regular meeting of the Board of Town Trustees was held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present, Trustees, Pres.Geo.A.Merrill, GeO.A.Deleau,
<br />J.J.Hahir, C.J.Hynding, E.H.Sampson, and Town Clerk, G.O.Plump.
<br />The minutes of the meeting held Sept (k were read, and upon motion of
<br />Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Deleau and carried, the same were approved.
<br />The reports of Town officers for the month ending Sept. 14th., 1912, were , Ori m0':10n
<br />of Trustee Deleau, seconded by Trustee Hynding and carried, received and filed.
<br />A communication was read from H.A.Oarroll, a property owner corner of Franklin
<br />Street and Main St. Extension, relative to the macadamizing of Main street to the county
<br />Road. The clerk was instructed to reply to'*Carroll, that it was impossible to consider
<br />The improvement of that.street at this time, but that he would be notified when the work wa3
<br />to be done.
<br />The report of the Pgrk,Commissioner$ was read by the Clerk, and on motion of
<br />Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Dekeau, and carried the same was received and filed*
<br />A communication from the*Park commissioners requesting that Supt 'of streets, J.C.
<br />Dickey, be ap pointed Supt. of Parks, and member of Park commission, also asking for the
<br />enforcement of the city Ordinance requiring property owners to remove grass and weeds from
<br />in front of their property, also asking for an appropriation of $$00. to be used by the
<br />Commission in carrying on their work. Upon motion of Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustees
<br />Hahir, and carried, J.c.Dickey was appointed Supt. of Public Parks and Dx Officio
<br />member of the Par k commission; and that $5o0. be appropriated for use of said Commission,
<br />said amount to be at their disposal from Jan. 1st., to June lst.,1913•0
<br />An invitation from the City of Berkeley and from the League of California
<br />Municipalities, extended to, all city Officials and department heads to attend the
<br />fifteenth annual convention of the League, at Berkeley, Sept. 23rd. to 28th., was received
<br />and filed, and all officials requested to attend if possible,
<br />A communication from the City of Venice relative to holding next Convention there
<br />was received and filed , upon motion of Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Deleau, and ca-ried
<br />On motion of Trustee Sampson, seconded by Trustee Deleau and carried, the City W
<br />Attorney was directed to notify all property owners on both sides of Oak Avenue, and owners
<br />of property corner of Broadway and County Road, (.Base Ball Park) to construct cement sideWiLlks
<br />and curbs..
<br />on motion of Trustee Hahir, seconded by Trustee Deleau and carried, the City
<br />Attorney was directed to take proceedings to start work of laying curbs and sidewalks
<br />against the owners of property bounded by Broadway, County Road, Brewster Street,
<br />Base Ball park, if owners fail to attend to the notice to construct the same.
<br />The Health Committee of the Board of Trustees, the Board of Health, and Mr.Ohase
<br />Littlejohn Who is to serve with the Committee, were directed to confer with the various owners
<br />of Ma2sh lands , asking to have same properly drained, and to ask the Tacoma Mill CO.,
<br />in addition to draining,to cultivate their land and to take other means in their judgment
<br />to eradicate the mosquito nuisance. The Supt of Streets was directed to spray with oil bet'reen
<br />the 1st. and 15th. of Jai»1913, all breeding places of mosquitoes. motion introduced by T
<br />Trustee Sampson, seconded by Trustee Hynding and carried.
<br />The application for a permit for a Class A liquor license, accompanied by bond,
<br />recommendation and affidavit of publisher, at Tremont Hotel, was put over until the next
<br />meeting, on motion of Trustee Sampson , seconded by Trustee Hahir, and carried.
