<br />Trustee Hynding introduced the following Resolution and moved It

<br />RESOLUTION. adoption.
<br />The Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood Oity does hereby determine and resollve
<br />as follows, to -wit:
<br />RECTION 1 •
<br />That the public interest and public necessity of said municipality, said
<br />Town 04 Redwood City, and of the inhabitants thereof, demand the acquisition, coneteuction
<br />grid completion of the following municipal improvements in and for said Town, to -wit:
<br />The Altering, changing and standardizing of the municipal street lighting
<br />system owned and operated by said Town of RedwmOd City, to comply with an Act of the Legis Stu
<br />of the state of ealifornia, entitled , 'An Act regulating the placing, erection, use and
<br />maintenance Of electric poles, wires, cables and appliances, and providing the punishment
<br />for the violation thereof, $ approved April 22 nd. 19119 and found in the statutes of 1911,
<br />at page 1037
<br />That the estimated cost of said work and improvements above referred to is the a
<br />of six thousand ($6,000. ) dollars.. '
<br />BEOTION 11.
<br />That the cost of said work and improvements id too great• do be paid out of the
<br />ordinary annual income and revenue of the said Town of Redwood City, and said improvements
<br />will require an expenditure greater -than the amount allowed for such improvements by the
<br />annual tax levy, and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood
<br />oity to have and secure said improvements to be made, acquired, constructed and established.
<br />And said Board of Trustees does hereby determine that all necessary and,proper
<br />proceedings be, and the same shall be taken and had as provide for by the -laws of the Btat
<br />of Oalifornia, for the purpose and to the end of having, acquiring; making and oonstruc$Ini
<br />and establishing such municipal improvements.
<br />Trustee Deleau seconded said motion and upon roll nail the same was passed and a0pted
<br />at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood•Olty, County of Ban
<br />Mateo, state of California, held on -the 16th. day of September, 19121 by the following vote.
<br />Ayes, , and 19 favor of the passalge of said Resolution
<br />Trustees, Deieau, Hahirf Hynding , Sampson and 3[erri1l.
<br />Noes, and against the passage of said Resolution,
<br />Trustees, None.
<br />Absent, Trustees, None.

<br />The matter of testing old water meters was referred to Trustee Sampso he year, &11d
<br />The Clerk was directed to find the number of new water meters purchased during
<br />how many were applied. to new connections only. Clerk
<br />On motion of Trustee Deieau, seconded by Trustee Hynding and carried, the
<br />was authorized to purchase 25 five -eight,, water meters.
<br />The following claims were approved by the Finance Committee.
