<br />on motion of Trustee Hahir, seconded by Trustee Deleau and carried, the Supt.
<br />of Streets was authorized to purchase two carloads of rock.
<br />Trustee Deleau introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption, to wit:

<br />The Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City doeSAdetermine and
<br />resolve as follows , to wit ,
<br />BECTION I.
<br />That Ahe public interest and public necessity of said municipality, said
<br />Town of Redwood City, and of the inhabitants thereof, demant the acquisition, construction
<br />and completion of the following municipal improvements in and for sadd Town, to -wit;
<br />The altering, changing and standardizing of the municipal street lighting
<br />system owned and operated by said Town of Redwdod City, to comply with an Act of the 12eg"4
<br />Legislature of the State of California entitled, "An Act regulating the placing, erection
<br />use and maintenance of electric poles, wires, cables and appliances, and provid.ing;: the
<br />punishment for the violation thereof" approved April 22nd.., 1911, and found in the statuita,
<br />of 1911 at page 1037.
<br />That the estimated cost of said work and improvements above referred to
<br />is the sum of six thousand,($6000) dollars.
<br />SECTION 11.
<br />That the cost. of said work. and improvements is too great to be paid out of
<br />the ordinary annual income and revenue of the said Town of Redwood City, and said improve-
<br />ments will require an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for such improvements
<br />by the annual tax levy, , and that it is the intention of the Board of Truste•s of the
<br />Town of Redwood City, to have and secure said Improvements to be made, acquired, conslruc6J4
<br />and established. And said Board of Trustees does hereby determine that all necessary
<br />and grope T proceed(bngs be, and the same shall be taken and had as provided for by the laws
<br />to
<br />of the State of California, for the purpose and„the and of having, acquiring, making *ad
<br />constructing and establishing such municipal improvements.
<br />Trustee Hahir seconded said motion and upon roil call the same was passed
<br />and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood Clty,
<br />County of San Mateo, state of California, held on the '18th. day of November, 1912. by thw
<br />following vote.
<br />Ayea, and in favor of the passage of said Resolution.

<br />Trustees, None.
