And notice shal,1 be in substantially the following form, to -wit: <br />NOTICE OF THE BALE OF BONDS. <br />Pursuant to a Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, In the <br />County of San Mateo, State of California, passed and adopted on the 13th. day of March, 1513,s <br />notice is hereby given that said Board of Trustees will sell, at the office of said <br />Board in the T�wn of Redwood City, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., on the 7th.,day of April, <br />19139 to the highbSt bidder, at not less than their par value, for gold coin of the United <br />States of America, the Municipal Improvement Bonds of 1913 of said Town, in the amount of <br />six thousand ($'6,000) dollars, being the whole of the bonds of said Town authorized to <br />be issued for certain municipal improvements in said Town at a special election held in <br />said. Town on the 24th.day of January, 1913, said bonds bearing interest at the rate of <br />five and one half(5z) per cent per annum, interest payable semi-annually on the first day <br />of April and the first day of October of every year on the presentation of the coupons; <br />at the Town Treasury of said Town. <br />Principal and interest payable in gold coin of the United States of America. <br />Said bonds are twenty (20) in number , numbered consecutively from one (1) to twenty (;ZO) <br />both numbers inclusive. <br />Said bonds are of the denomination of three hundred (0300) dollars each. <br />All of said bonds are negotiable in form. <br />One -twentieth (120) part of the principal of said bonds is payable each and every year. <br />Said bonds are issued in series so that one -twentieth part of the number of said bonds <br />Will be payable on the first day of April of each and every year thereafter for the full <br />period. Of twenty (20) years. Principal will be payable at the same place as the interest. <br />Said bonds wilt bear the date of April lst.,1913. <br />Said bonds are 14 sued by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City in <br />accordance' with the provisions and by the authority of the Act of the Legislature of the State o <br />of California, entitled, if An Act authorizing the incurring of indebtedness by Cities <br />Towns and Municipal Corporations for municipal improvements and regulating the acquisition. <br />construction or completion thereof", in effect February 25th., 1901, Statutes of 19P19 page 279 <br />and also an Ack of the Legislature of I the state of California entitled, Of An Act amending <br />an Act entitled, "An Act auth orizin'g the incurring of indebtedness by Cities, Towns and Municipal <br />Corporations for Municipal Improv.emerta and regulating, the acquisition, construction or <br />completion thereof' ", in effect March 19th, 1907, and found in the Statutes of 1907, <br />page 330, and also an Act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled " An Act <br />to amend Section V. of an Act which, a law February 25th, 1901, entitled "An Act <br />authorizing the incurring of indebtedness by Cities, Towns and Municipal Corporatloi+ls for:,taa#E <br />Municipal Improvements and regulating the acquisition, construction or completion thereof", <br />as ameided by an Act approved Marcia 19th,1907, and found in the Statutes of -1909, <br />chapter 411. <br />Bids must be in sealed envelopes and addressed to or left with the Clerk of <br />said Townat any time anter the first publication of this notice and until eight o'clock P -1 - <br />of the 7th,day of April, 1913. <br />Bidders may bid upon said bond's as a whole or on a part thereof. <br />A certified check made payable to the President of the Board of lrustees of the <br />i <br />Town of Redwood City in the 811m of three hundred (0300) dollars must accompany each bid. <br />Check of successful bidder to be forfeited to said Town of Redwood City, for failure on the Part <br />.; O.L <br />
