EXHIBIT A 1 . Scope of Work Contractor will provide laboratory analyses of samples collected by the Public Works Services Department (PWS) in accordance with standards and procedures set forth by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and the State of California, including but not limited to the California Code of Regulations and State Water Resources Control Board guidelines. Contractor will also provide the following: A. Courier Service Contractor will provide delivery and pickup of prepared sample bottles/containers and chain of custody forms to and from PWS (1400 Broadway Street, Redwood City, CA 94063). Depending on the type of sample, sample delivery and pick-up may be regularly scheduled or requested on an as-needed basis. Contractor will provide all necessary transport containers and ice to preserve samples. Contractor will deliver and/or pick-up samples Mondays through Fridays, between 7:30 AM and 3 :00 PM. Contractor must pick-up samples within twenty-four-hour notice, and deliver samples no later than seventy-two hours after receiving a request. B. Notification of Sample Results Contractor will provide timely electronic reports of sample results to PWS, especially for drinking water analyses reports. Reports will be provided electronically to PWS within the designated standard, or rush, turnaround times specified below in Payment Terms. Contractor will apply rush turnaround times upon request by the City. Contractor will upload drinking water and recycled water sample results online to the City's WaterTrax account. In the event that sample results exceed regulatory guidelines, Contractor will follow the State Water Resources Control Board's Division of Drinking Water (SWRCB DDW) procedures for notification. C. Electronic Data Transfer Contractor will submit regulatory results electronically to the SWRCB DDW through Electronic Data Transfer (EDT). D. Chain of Custody Procedures All samples to be analyzed by the Contractor will be accompanied by a chain of custody (COC) form. In the event COC information is in error or there is a question or clarification regarding information on the COC, Contractor will contact PWS immediately and prior to proceeding with the analysis.
