EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Consultant will evaluate recycled water enhancement options to mitigate metal <br /> corrosion in the City's recycled water distribution system and end-user customer <br /> systems. The project shall include: <br /> • Review of existing Silicon Valley Clean Water (SVCW) treatment processes and <br /> operations; <br /> • Review of City's recycled water distribution facilities and operations; <br /> • Identification and evaluation of water treatment alternatives to improve recycled <br /> water quality and control corrosion; <br /> • Deliverables such as: <br /> O Draft and Final Technical Reports <br /> O Monthly Status Reports. <br /> In order to accomplish the above, Consultant will perform the following tasks: <br /> Task 1 : Review existing SVCW treatment processes and operations <br /> Consultant will: <br /> • Review SVCW existing treatment processes as they relate to potential <br /> modifications or improvements to the recycled water quality; <br /> O Review will include SVCW operations related to water age and detention <br /> times; <br /> • Engage SVCW operations staff to review SVCW's treatment practices; <br /> • Review SVCW operations as related to producing recycled water in batches, in <br /> conjunction with the City's storage tank operations and seasonal demands; <br /> • Review SVCW facilities and space availability for improvements and potential <br /> expansion for corrosion control treatments; <br /> • Coordinate with SVCW and consider SVCW's capability to provide contract <br /> services to City for operation of an advanced treatment facility at the site. <br /> The following are included in Task 1 : <br /> • (1 ) conference call with SVCW staff; <br /> • (1 ) site visit/onsite meeting with SVCW staff. <br /> Task 2: Review City's recycled water distribution facilities and operations <br /> Consultant will: <br /> • Review existing recycled water distribution, storage and pump station operations; <br /> • Review City's plan for future expansion of the recycled water system to serve <br /> additional landscape customers as well as commercial and industrial properties. <br /> The following is included in Task 2: <br /> • (1 ) site meeting/visit with operations staff to review recycled water system <br /> operations. <br /> Page 9 of 11 <br /> REV: 09-27-17 MI <br /> ATTY/AGR.2017.225/Kennedy/Jenks Consultants - Recycled Water Feasibility Study <br />
