All asphalt wearing sur- face to be constructed as specified herein shall be constructed immediately adjacent to the 30 inch concrete gutter to be constructed as provided herein. and on the side • of said gutter nearest the center of street; That the termination of Stambaugh street at Main street in the Town of Redwood City be improved by constructing thereon, a two inch asphalt wearing surface, upon all that portion of said termination of Stambaugh street, at Idain street on the westerly side of and immediately adjacent to ,the concrete gutter or drain to be constructed i thereon, for a strip 6 inches in width, between the northerly line of Stambaugh str ef---� produced westerly and tin southerly line of Stambaugh produced westerly; and a `othat rr a 2 -inch asphalt wearing surface be constructed on all that portion of the termination t of Stambaugh Street at Iulain Street on the easterly of and immediately adjacent to the concrete gutter or drain to be constructed thereon and for a strip 6 inches in width. extending from the northerly curb line of Stambaugh Street to the southerly curb line of Stambaugh Street. That all the hereinbefore and hereinabove mentioned work and improvemetns are to be done in accordance with the special plans and specifications heretofore adopted for doing said work by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City on the 7th day of February, 1916, and now on file in the office of the Clerk of the Town of Redwood City to which plans and specifications reference is hereby made for a further description of said work and for further particulars. RESOLVED, that the said Board of Trustees of tin Town of Redwood City, hereby re- jects all of said proposals or bids except that next herein mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improvements to the lowest responsible bidder,to-wit; Joseph Birkett as the prices named in his bid. The Town Clerk of said Town of Redwood City is hereby directed to post notic e of thid award conspicuously for five days, on or near the Council Chamber door of the Board of Trustees of said Town of Redwood City, and also publish notice of this award by two insertions in the Times -Gazette, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said Town of Redwood City and hereby designated for that purpose by the Board of Trustees of said Town. All the herein described work and improvements shall be done in pursuance of and in conformity with an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled, "Zm- provement Act of 191171 approved April 7, 1911, and acts amendatory thereof. Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of said Town of Redwood City, at a regular meeting of said Board, held on the 7th day ofApril, 1916, by the following vote: Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution of Award No. 24, Trustees, Geo.
