<br />Minutes of regular meeting held June 19th*I916, were read,and after being corrected were
<br />approved as read. '

<br />Communication from the Pacific Coast Assooiatioh of Fire Chiefs inviting the members of the, ;
<br />Board and Fire Chief to their Fourth Anual Convention at San Deigo)August 2Iet. to 25th.1916.
<br />was received and filed, the clerk was instructed to notify the Seotetary, that this City
<br />would be represented by Fire Chied M.E.Ryan..

<br />tension of 30 days to complete the improvements of East Brewster Avenue, between E1 Caminc
<br />Real, and Arguello Street was granted on motion of Trustee Tuohsen,seconded by Trustee
<br />Mo.Nulty,Motion Carried.
<br />.On motion of Trustee Mabie,seoonded by Trustee Merrill, the application of E.H.Sohroder to
<br />conduct a oigar stand and Billiard Parlor at 238 Main Street, in the Town of Redwood City,
<br />was granted,Motion Carried.
<br />Mrs.Lu A.Harris representing the Geo.S.Evan's releif Corps appeared before the Board
<br />regarding the raising of flags over the Public Squares, and on motion of Trustee Merrill,
<br />sedonded by Trustee Mo.Nulty the clerk was instruoted to make out4a schedule of days on

<br />which to raise the flag, the Janitor of the Town be given $2.50 per month for raising,
<br />and oaring of same,Motion Carried.
<br />A map of Redwood Heights on Britten and Oak Avenues outside of the city limits was pre-
<br />sented by County Surveyor J.Y.Neuman, and on motion of Trustee Tuohsen, seconded by Trustee
<br />Mo.Nulty the same be approved by the Board and the Clerk notify the Board of Supervisors
<br />of said aotion,Motion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Merrill,seoonded by Trustee Mo,Nulty that City Engineer Finley be
<br />instructed to refund the Five($5.00)Dollars deposited by Mr.Tobin, and all other deposites
<br />that he has on head at this time,Motion Carried,
<br />Moved by Trustee Merrill, seconded by Trustee Tuoheen, that hereafter depositee for all
<br />plans and specifications from the City Engineer's office be deposited with the City Clerk,
<br />and said deposites be refunded on the return of said plans and specifications in good order
<br />the clerk getting a receipt same,Motion Carried.
<br />Application from the Pacific Gas & Electric Company for permission to set poles on Grani
<br />Avenue between Brewster Avenue and James Street,as per blue print enclosed was on motion of
<br />Trustee Tuoheen,seoonded by Trustee Mc.Nulty same be granted,Motion Carried.
<br />Application from Pacific Gas & Electric Company for permission of rerouting their lines as
<br />per blue print enolosed,was on motion of .Trustee Tucheen,seoonded by Trustee Mo.Nulty ,the
<br />permission be granted with the understanding that the word"FREE" be inserted and to read
<br />as follows;- FREE and PERMANENT contacts on all POLES,Motion Carried,
<br />on motion of Trustee Merrill,seoonded by Trustee Tucheen,the Pacific Gas & Electric
<br />Company be given permission to remove the large eucalyptus tree on '.Center Street,near
<br />Washington Street,Motion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Merrill,seoonded by Trustee Tuohsen, the City Attorney be instructed io
<br />prepare an amendment to the Water Ordinance embodying the new water rates,Motion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Mabie,seoonded by Tfustee Mo,Nulty the Young Batchelors Club
<br />be granted a permit to conduct an all night dance September 16th.1916,Motion Carried,
