198 <br />Redwood City,September 25th.1916. <br />Regular adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees held. <br />Upon Roll call there were present,Trustees,President,E.H.Sampson,Geo.A.Merrill,Geo.W. <br />Mc.Nulty,Carl X.Mabie,H.C.Tuchsen,Town C1erk,W.A.Price. <br />Communication from the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce,in the matter of having a <br />electric sign placed above the State Highway at Broadway,was on motion of I$rustee Merrill, <br />seconded by Trustee Tuchsen,same be received, and filed for further consideration,Motion <br />carried. <br />Report of Wm.J.Kidd expert accoutant of the examanation of all Town Official Books <br />was received and on motion of Trustee Merrill, seconded, by Trustee Mc.Nulty the report be <br />received and referred to Finance Committee ,and the Town Clerk to have copies of report for <br />each Trustee,Motion Carried. <br />Communication from the State Compensation Insurance Fund stating the amount of compenation <br />sent Geo.H.Hans6n was on motion of Trustee Tueheen ,seconded by Trustee Mc Nulty same be <br />received and filed and a letter of thanks be sent them for their consideration and settle- <br />ment of same,Motion Carried. <br />Affidavits of J...D.Hedge., and J.C.Dickey in the matter of Publishing and poating <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0.32,was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Mabie, <br />same be received and filed,Motion Carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Tuehsen,seconded by Trustee McNulty the clerk be instructed to <br />write Mrs.Pissis asking her to remove the debris from the creek running through her prop- <br />erty,especially the outlet at the corner of Elwood Street ,near James Street,Motion Carried, <br />The following protest was received; <br />Redwood City,Sept.25th.1916. <br />We the undersigned property owners and residents of Arguello Street do hereby assert <br />that the flooding of the West side of Arguello Street during the rainy season is caused by <br />the inrush of storm water from the Railroad, and for that reason we strongly object to being <br />called upon to stand the expense of bikilding culverts to carry off this surplus water,as <br />suggested at a former meeting of your Honorable Board, <br />C.Cussen-John Curran -Martin R.Zimmermann-B.C.Zimmermann-M.Reynolds-F.P.Wenthworth-Mrs.W.B. <br />Curran-H.C.Wilder-J.M.Badie- E.Bement-E.M.Hanson- Alice R.Sears- Rose E.Swift- J.P.Archibal& <br />Lillian A.Fox- P.Demartini- C.L.Gould- G.A.Sriess- T.P.Maloney-George E.Stafford-Daniel R. <br />Stafford. <br />This being the time fixed for hearing protests against the work and improvements describes. <br />in Resolution of Intention No -32 and a written protest having been heretofore filed the <br />Board of Trustees proceeded to hear and pass upon said protest.D.R.Stafford and Chris Cussen <br />two of the Protestants were heard and after a partial hearing on motion of Trustee Tuchsen <br />seconded by Trustee McNulty the further hearing of said protest was continued to the next <br />regular meeting of said Board October,2nd.1916, at the hour of 7-30 P.M. of said day, <br />Motion Carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO.174- <br />An ORDINANCE amending an ORDINANCE entitled "ORDINANCE NO.148,An ORDINANCE amending an <br />ORDINANCE entitled ORDINANCE No.68,An ORDINANCE Prescribing the Duties and Fixing the <br />Salaries and Cprppensation of certain Officials of the Town of Redwood City and repealing <br />conflicting ORDINANCE,Trustee Tuchsen moves,seconded by Trustee Merrill the introduction <br />of ORDINANCE No.1749Motion Carried . <br />0 <br />
