207 Redwood City,October 16th.igi697-30.J'/M. Regular meeting of the Board of Town Trustees held. Upon roll call there were present,Trustees,President,E.H.Sampeon,Geo.A.Merrill,Geo.W. Mc.Nulty,Carl X.Mabie,Town Clerk W.A.Price,Absent Trustee H.C.Tuchsen. Minutes of the regular meeting held October,2nd.1916 were read and on motion of Trustee Merrill,seconded by Trustee McNulty same be approved as read,Motion Carried. Communication from the Menlo Park Horticultural Society asking permission to hang a banner across Main Street to advertise their Flower Show,was on motion of Trustee Merrill, seconded by Trustee Me.Nulty,same be granted,Motion Carried.. On motion of T=stee Merrill,seconded by Trustee Mc.Nulty,.the report of Finance Committee regarding the claims of Mr.Finlay be received and filed for further consideration G Motion Carried. C Trustee Merrill presents the following Resolution, and moves its adoption,Trustee Mc.Nulty seconds the motion. RESOLUTION FIXING HEARING. RESOLVED,by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City,that thereas-Afie contractor, Blanchard -Brown Company,a corporation,has appealed to this Board from the warrant assess - meat and diagram issued to it by the Superintendent of Streets of said Town to represent the costs and expenses of certain street improvement work on East Brewster Avenue between the County Road and the southerly line of Arguello Street in said Town performed by said Contractors under ite contract with said Supt.of Streets thereof dated April 21st.IgI6, and therein described, and has filed its appeal and written objections to said warrant assessement and diagram with the clerk of this Board; NOW THEREFORE Be it.RESOLVED that Monday, the 23rd.day of October,1916 at the hour of eight o'clock P.M. or as soon thereafter as said appeal can thereafter be heard in the usual coarse of business before this Board,and the meeting room of this Board of Trustees in said Town, be and the same are hereby fixed as, the time and place for hearing said appeal when and where the place and all persons interested therein will be heard. That the Clerk of the Board give notice thereof in the manner and for the time provided by the certain act of the Legislature of the Sate of California designated 11 Improvement Act of 191I ".
