<br />VI.C.Johansen,owner of the Acme Saloon 240 Clain street apneared before the Board on
<br />complaint of Marshall Names P.Coleman for violation of the saloon ordinance, and on motion
<br />of Trustee Merrill,seconded by Trustee Mabie the matter be laid over until regular meeting
<br />of August 20th.1917,in the meantime his liquor license be suspended until that time,
<br />.Motion Carried.
<br />Communication from J.D.Smith regarding his bid on Streot Sprinkling was received and
<br />filed.
<br />With no objection of the Board, the bids for Street Sprinkling was laid over until
<br />next meeting.
<br />Communication from -the Railroad Commis ion of the State of California in-regards,to
<br />the maintaining of warning signs was on motion of Trustee Merrill,seconded by Trustee
<br />Mabie,be received and filed and same to come up for consideration at the regular meeting
<br />of October Ist.19•17,I1otion Carried.
<br />Communication from California Corrugated Culvert Company regarding warning signs was
<br />received and filed and same laid over for consideration at the regular meeting of October
<br />Ist.1917.
<br />Communication from the Redwood City Democrat and the '.Times -Gazette in reference to
<br />their claims for legal•s published for the City last month was on motion of Trustee Merril,
<br />seconded by Trustee Mc. -Nulty same be received and filed.lJotion Carried.

<br />employed by the day may have the ptivelege of presenting their claims at the regular
<br />meetings of the Board each month -,Motion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Merrill,seconded by Trustee Mabie any person wishing a large map
<br />of the City may have one by applying through the City Engineer's office same to be printed
<br />from the City's negative,the price to be the actual cost of printing.Rotion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Merrill,seconded by Trustee Mabie, the clerk be instructed to
<br />purchase for the City Recor$er's office 500 blank,complaints,and 500 blank warrants,

<br />streets were received and filed,on motion of Trustee Merrill,seconded by Trustee McNulty.
<br />Treasurer report shows cash on hand August Ist.1917,General Fund,$ 5,483.82 -Water Fund
