346 <br />Redwood City,Deoember 3rd.1917,7-30 01dlock P.M. <br />Regulur meeting of the Board of Town Trustees held. <br />Upon roll call there were present;-Trustees,President E.$.Sampson,Geo.A.Merrill,Geo.W. <br />Mo.Nulty,Carl K.Mabie*H.0*Tuchsen, City Clerk W.a.Prige. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting held November 19th -I917 were read and on motion of Trustee <br />Tuchsen,seeonded by Trustee Mo.Nulty same be approved as read,Motion Carried. <br />Affidavit of A.I.English,&.rl 4ahran and Andrew Andreason in the matter of application for <br />a permit to operate a motor bus passenger service was on motion of Trustee M,.bie,seconded <br />by Trustee Mo,Nulty same be received and filed,Motion i0arried. <br />Moved by Trustee Ldt.bie,seconded by Trustee Mc,Nulty the Lipplication'of A.I.English, <br />marl Kahran and Andrew AndreLason fora permit to operate a'motor bus passenger service <br />between Redwood City and C_mp Fremont,Menlo Park be granted,Motion Carried <br />The claim of E.T.Me.Gettigan in the amount of V104.50 for damage to personal property <br />C/41 /il <br />at his home in Wellesley Park,was on.motiori of Trustee Marrill,seconded.by Trustee Tuchsen <br />G -.T M-Getl:3�h <br />s"id claim for the amount of $ 104.50 be allowed,Motion Carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Tuehsen,secon'ded by Trustee Mo,Nulty the Chairman of the Police <br />Committee be authorized with full power to act in the matter regarding the extension of <br />time for the closing hours'of the"Jitney dances on Saturday evening,Motion Carried. <br />Communication -from Wm.Chubbuck for an increase from 0 50.00 to $$ 75.00 per month for <br />Tr►crease , <br />-Sar housing and service rendered in•care of the Chemical Fixe Engine was on motion of Trustee <br />service <br />otFtke Merrill,seconded by Trustee Tuchsen be referred to the Chairman of Public Health,Poliee <br />and Moral Committee for further consideration,Motion•Carried. <br />Communication from J.D.Smith for. an increase from � 4,50 -to 0 5.50 per day for Street <br />Sprinkling was on motion of Trustee Tuchs•en,seconded by Trustee McNulty same be received <br />and filed,Motion Carried. <br />Communication from League of California Municipalities notifing the Board the Cities that <br />had signed up a contract employing Mr.B.D.M.Greene as General Counsel in the matter of <br />increase in gas rates was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Mc.Nulty same <br />be received and filed,Motion Carried. <br />Application of J.F.For.d and M.P.Sarsfiold for a permit to operate a Tuxi Service in the <br />Town of Redwood City was on motion of Trustee Tuc#sen,seconded by Trustee Mabie,same be <br />granted,Motion Carried. <br />Application of E.G.and Estello M.Lawrenee for a permit to operate a Jitney Service <br />through the Streets of Redwood City was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee <br />Idabie same be granted with the understanding that they file with the clerk a schedule of <br />prices,Motion Carried. <br />Applicatio# of the Redwood Transit Company for a permit to operate a motor bus passenger <br />service between Redwood City and Camp Fremont,Menlo Park was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen, <br />seconded by Trustee Mabie,said permit be granted to said Redwood Transit Company under <br />Ordinance # 186,Motion Carried. <br />
