structed as to cover the entire space included within the prolongation of the inner lines <br />of artificial stone sidewalks constructed on the interse3ting streets and inner linea of the <br />curbs,such inner lines of the curbs to be sir inches inside the outer curb line; snd <br />BL IT FURTHLIR R2SOLUM, that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the <br />Town of Redwood City to order the following work to be done and improvements to be made in <br />Town, to -wit:- <br />That Last Brewster avenue and 'Winslow street in the To:7n. of R:dwood City, be im- <br />proved by having constructed thereon the: following artificial stone approaches, said up- <br />proaches to be located on said street and avenue at t1YB places hereinafter iiientioned and <br />to be of the lengthsand widths and thickness hereinafter specified, to -wit: - <br />An artificial stone approach on East Brewster avenue in the To= of redwood City, <br />5 inches thick and 9 feet wide and built on a uniform slope from a line 9 feet easterly <br />from and parallel to the easterly curb line of Last Brewster avenue and extending to the <br />gutter line at the easterly curb line of said East Brewster avenue,said approach to begin <br />at a line 350 feet'northerly from and parallel to the northerly line of El Camino Real, <br />also knovrn as the County Road, and extending northerly to a line ¢02 feet northerly from ani. <br />parallel to the northerly line of E1 Camino Real, also knovm cts the County Road. <br />An artificial stone approach on the westerly side of 'Winslow street 5 inches thick <br />and 10 feet wide built on a uniform slope from a line 10 feet westerly from and parallel <br />to the westerly curb line of said ;Vinslow street and extending to the gutter line wt the <br />westerly curb line of said Winslow street, said approach to beging at a line 68 feet south cv <br />of and parallel to the southerly line of Broadway and extend to a line 109 feet south of <br />and parallel to the southerly line of Broadway. <br />All the hereinabove and hereinbefore mentioned work and improvements are to be done <br />in accordance with the special plans and specifications heretofore adopted for doing said <br />work and improvements by the Board of Trustees of tip Town of Redwood City, on the 21st <br />day of February, 1916, and now on file in the office of the Clerk of the Town of Redwood <br />City, to which plans and specifications reference is hereby made for a further description <br />of said work and improvements and for further particulars. <br />serial bonds bearing interest, at the rate of 7 per cent per annum, and extending <br />over the period of 5 years from the second day of January, next succeeding their date,shall <br />be issued to represent assessments of twenty five (05) dollars or over for the costs, and <br />expenses of said work and improvements and in manner and fora provided by law. <br />The Town Clerk of said Town of Redwood City is hereby directed to post a notice <br />of said work and improvements, together with the plans and specifications therefor, con- <br />spicuously for five days on or near the Council Chamber door, inviting sealed proposals <br />or bids for doing the work and improvements ordered herein, Said Clerk of the Town of Red- <br />wood City is also directed to publish a notico inviting such sealed proposals or bids, and <br />referring to the plans and specifications posted or on file, in the Times -Gazette, a week- <br />ly newspaper published and circulated in said Town, and hereby designated by the Board of <br />Trustees of said Town of Redwood City, for that purpose. <br />All the herein proposed work and improvements shall be done in pursuance of and in <br />conformity with an act of t1B legislature of the State of California, entitled, "Improve- <br />ment Act -of 1911" approved April 7th, 1911, and acts amendatory thereof. <br />Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, at a reg - <br />ulcer a.djot.rged meeting of said Board held on the 13th day of March, 1916, by the.follorwing <br />vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of tin foregoing Resolution Ordering the Mork No. <br />27, Trustees. <br />Deleau, Sahir, Sampson, Tuchsen, Merrill. <br />
