<br />quarter of Section 8 and the Northwest quarter of Section 9 in Township 5 South Range 3

<br />And your petitioners respectfully pray and show;
<br />That the said Town of Redwood City is a municipal corporation of the sixth class,duly
<br />incorporated under the General Laws of the State of California, and is situate and existing
<br />in the County of San Yateo,State of California;that your petitioners are residents of daid
<br />Town of Redwood City and are qualified electors thereof and therein and constitute more
<br />than one-tenth in number of the quaL fied electors of said Rown,computed upon the number
<br />of votes cast at the last general municipal election held therein; and that said petition
<br />is signed by more than one-tenth of the qulaified electors of said Town as so computed; and
<br />that each of your petitioners,has at the time of signing said petition,affixed thereto
<br />and written opposite his signature, the date of such signing; that itis for the best
<br />interests of said Town of Redwood City and of the inhabitants thereof, and in the best
<br />interests of the owners of the property and territory above described, the annexation of
<br />which,is hereby requested ,that such territory be annexed to said Town of Redwood City;
<br />that said new territory,the annexation of whit]} is hereby requested,is not inhabited by
<br />any person or persons,but is wholly uninhabited territory,that no portion thereof is
<br />within or forms a part of any city or municipal corporation other than the County of San
<br />Mateo, and the-IPrhole thereof is without the boundaried of any city or Town and that said
<br />territory is contiguous to said Town of Redwood City on the northeasterly side thereof.

<br />AnnaXa ile this petition and without delay notify the Board of Supervisors of the County of San
<br />Mateo,State of California,it being the County in which said Town of Redwood City and daid
<br />described uninhabited territory are situate,of the fact of the filing of this petition,
<br />and that your Honorable Board take, and that there be taken,all such necessary and proper
<br />proceedings as may be requitite, to alter the boundaries of said Town of Redwood City,as
<br />aforesaid, and to annex and cause to be annexed to said Town, the new Ininhabited territory
<br />herein described, and in compliance with the provisions -of the law in such case made and
<br />provided.
