<br />RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION
<br />OF CERTAIN NEW UNINHABITED TERRITORY Wf,5 01i6H

<br />BY THE TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY

<br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Iviateo,State of California,
<br />at a regular adjourned meeting of said Board duly held on the 19th.day of June,Ig18,
<br />received notification from the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City,in said County
<br />of San Mateo,State of California, to the effect that thertofore,and on,to-wit;the 17th.day
<br />of June,1918, a written petition had been presented to and filed with said,Board of Trustees
<br />of said Town,signed by not less than one-tenth in nuipber of the qualified electors of said
<br />Town of Redwood City,comput/ed upon the number of votes cast at the last general municipal
<br />election held therein, and which said petition asked that eertain new uninhabited territory
<br />in said petition and hereinafter herein described be annexed to,incorporated in, and made
<br />a part of said Town of Redwood City, and that the boundaries of said Town be altered
<br />accd"rdingly; and
<br />WHEREAS,said Board of Supervisors thereupon ftly and regualrly passed and adopted its
<br />Resolution and order,fixing and setting Monday the Ist.day of July,1918, at the hour of
<br />IO o'clock A.M.of said day, and the chambers of said Board of Supervisors in the County
<br />Courthouse in Redwood City in said County of San Ylateo;State of California,as the time and
<br />place when and where objections to said.annexation would be heard; and
<br />Whereas,said Board of SApervi•sors did then andthere,and at its neeting aforesAid,order
<br />that notice of said hearing,setting forth by general description, the land sought to be
<br />annexed .to the said Town of Red::^ood City, and announcing the time and place When and whare
<br />objections to,said annexation would be heard,as so fixed and set-, be published for a period
<br />of five days prior ro said Ist.day of July,1918,in "The San Mateo County Daily News",a
<br />newspaper of general circulation printed and published daily(excepting Sunday and holidays)
<br />in the County of San biateo,State of California, and also in the "Redwood City Democrat",
<br />a newspaper of general circulation printed and published weekly.in said Town of Redwood City,
<br />in said County of San Mateo,State of California; and
<br />WHEREAS,said notice has been duly published in said newspapers for the time and in.the
<br />canner required by law and said order of the Board of Supervisors,wLi
<br />ich fact this Board now
<br />hereby finds,ascertains and determines to be true; and
<br />Whereas, it further appeats to this Board,after testimony duly had and taken before
<br />said Board,that the territory so proposed to be ahnexed is wholly uninhabited, and that the
<br />same lies contiguous to said Torm of Redwood City on the northeasterly side therof;and that
<br />ao part of said territory lies within any municipal corporation, and forms no part of any
<br />incorporated city of town;all of which facts this Board now hdrdby finds,aseertains and
<br />3etermines t3 be true; and
<br />WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors is now in regular session assembled', at the time and
<br />glace designated in said notice when and where objections to said annexation would be heard
<br />3.nd when and where any person owning any land so sought to be annexed to said Town of Redwood
<br />)ity might object to said annexation by filing a written remonstrance with the said Board of
<br />supervisors; and
<br />Whereas,no person has appearded, nor does now appear, to object to said annexation, and
<br />ti
<br />so objection to said annexation has been made,or is now made, and no written or other
<br />remonstrance or protestation to the annexation of the wh6le or any part of said territory
<br />has-been filed,or is now filed with said Board;
<br />NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED AND DECLARED,ascertained and determined by the Board
<br />of Suoervisors of the Cognty of San Mateo,State of California, that no person owning any
