C AND NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that it is proposed to annex to,incorporate in and make a part <br />l <br />j of said Town of Redwood City the territory so sought to be annexed and —hick is fully <br />bounded and described as above set forth,Said election s4all be tgled and conducted in <br />conformity with the general election laws of the State of California,in -so far as the same <br />nay be applicable and in conformity with the Resolution passed and adopted by the Board of <br />} Trustees of said Town of.Medwood City on the Ist.day of July,1918,,which prescribes this <br />{ notice of election. <br />j For the purpose of said special election, the said Town of Redwood Oity,shall be and is <br />hereby regularly established as one election precinct,to be Down as and designated" <br />Redwood City Special Election Precinct",the boundaries of which precinct shah be, and are <br />hereby fixed and established,as and at,and co -extensive with the exterior boundaries of said <br />Town of Redwood City. <br />In said precinct,to-.Tit;said Town of Redwood City,the polls shall be held in the Fire <br />House on Yaih Street near Stambaugh Street in said Town,and on the lower floor thereof,said <br />place being one of the places where ele.;tions have usually been held in said Town., and being <br />in said precinct, And.the said election will be conducted by the INSPECTORS,BUDGES and <br />443 <br />t <br />CLB,Ri{S. respectively,hereinafter nat,ed as follows,to wit; <br />Noticea� <br />INSPECTORS ---Daniel R.Stafford--- ---and -------- Frank X.Towne. <br />S`taC/a� <br />JUDGES---Z.T.THorning------------ "--------C.G.Landscheit. <br />rho, GfiaH <br />CLL+'RXS------R.F.Chilcott------------- "------- John ?..Anderson. <br />At, <br />n exaiioh <br />The qualified electors of said municipality, said Town ocf Redwood City,are hereby <br />notified that it is proposed to annex to said Town,and,to include therein, and make a part <br />i <br />thereof, the said new uninhabited territory, sought to be annexed and included yherein and <br />hereinbefore described,.and they are hereby invited to vote upon such proposition of <br />annexation by placing a cross (X) after and opposite the words'"FOR ANNEXATION"or after <br />the opposite the words "AGAINST ANNEXATION"to indicate whether they vote for or against <br />the annexation of such new uninhabited territory,Any ballot having a cross (X) in the voting <br />square on the right hand margin of the ballot after and opposite the words"FOR .ANNEXATION" <br />shall be canvassed and counted As a vote in.favor of such proposition and of such annexation <br />Any ballot having having a cross(X)'in the voting square on the right jand margin of the <br />ballot after and opposite the words"AGAINST ANNEXATION"shall be canvassed and, counted as a <br />vote against such proposition and against such annexation. <br />The polls shall be open at six o'C1ock.A.M.on the morning of said day of election and <br />shall be kept open continuously thereafter until seven o'clock P.M. in the evening of said <br />day of election,when said polls shall -be closed;provided,however,that if at the hour of <br />closing there are any voters in the polling place,or in line at the cffoor,who are qualified <br />to vote, and have not been able to do so since apnearing,the polls shall be kept open a <br />sufficient time to enable them to v6te,but no one who shall arrive at the polling place <br />after seven o'clock P.M.in the evening shall be entitled to vote,alough the polls may be <br />open when he arrives. <br />By order of the Board of Trustees of.the Town of Redwood City under RESOLUTION passed <br />and adopted by said Board July Ist.1918. <br />Carl X.Mabie. <br />------------------------------------------ <br />President <br />------------------- -------------------President of the Board of Trustees of the <br />Town of Redwood City. <br />Attest.W.A.Price. <br />---------------------------- --------- <br />Town Clerk and ex -officio Clerk of the <br />Board of Trustees of the Town of <br />Redwood City. <br />
