<br />described territory is so annexed to,incorporated in and made a part of said Town of Red-
<br />wood City and the boundaries of said Town of Redwood City be altered accordingly,and the
<br />same are hereby altered accordingly.
<br />SECTION 4,That these resolutions and certificate be entered upon the minutes of this
<br />Board as the record of the result of the canvass of the returns of said special election,
<br />and that two copies thereof be made and certified by the Clerk of this Board,under the seal
<br />of said Town of Redwood City,together with a statement showing the date of said special
<br />election, and the time and result of the canvass of the returns thereof, and that one of
<br />said cbpies,together with said statement,be transmitted by said Clerk to the Seceetary of
<br />the State of California at Sacramento,California,for filing in his office, and the other
<br />of said copies,together with said ststement,be transmitted by said• Clerk to the Board of
<br />Supervisors of the County of San Mateo,State of California,for filing by the Clerk of said
<br />Board'of Supervisors.

<br />regularly passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City at a
<br />regular meeting of said Board,held on the 5th.day of August,1918,which regular meeting was
<br />the first regular meeting of said Board of Trustees subsequent to the 19th,day of July,

<br />I,W.A,Price,Town Clerk of the Town of Redwood City,in the
<br />County of San Mateo,State of California, andex-officio Clerk of the Board of Trustees of
<br />said Town} of Redwood City,do hereby certify and deslare the foregoing to be'a full,true,
<br />and correct copy of the original resolution and certificate adopted by the Board of Trustees
<br />of the Town of Redwood City,declaring the territory therein described to be annnexed to,
<br />incorporated in and made a part of said Town, and containing and constituting the record of
<br />the canvass of the returns of said special election at which there was submitted to the
<br />qulaified electors of said Town of Redwood City the question of said annexation,so far'as
<br />the returns of -said special election relate to said proposition of annexation; that said
<br />resolution and certificate were duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board
<br />of Trustees of said Town of Redwood City,duly and regularly held on Monaay,the 5tk.day of
<br />August,1918,being the time provided for the regular meeting of said Board of Trustees of
<br />said Town of Redwood City,next after the 19th.day of July,1918, the date of said special
<br />election;that at said meeting a majority of said Board were present, and said resolution anI
<br />certificate was duly passed by the affirmative votes of all of said members of said Board
<br />of Trustees,then and there present,and no member of said Board of Trustees voted against
<br />said resolution and certificate; and that said resolution and certificate have been duly
<br />entered upon the minutes of said Board of Trustees and are -in full force and effect amff
<br />have never been vacated,repealed or modified,as will more fully appear by the official
<br />records and files.in this office.
<br />That the date of said special election referred to in said resolution and certificate
<br />was the IRth.day of Jul;a,1918, and the time of the canvass of the returns of said special
<br />election was August 5th.1918, and that the result of said canvass was and is as follows,
<br />to -wit;
<br />In said municipal corporation, the Town of Redwood City, the total number of votes cast
<br />at special election was and is four hundred andeighteen (418)' votes,that four hundred and,.
<br />one (4010' qualified electors voted and cast their ballots for annexation and sixteen (16)
<br />quIllified electors voted and cast their ballots against annexation and one (I) qualified
<br />elector voted and cast a,ballot upon which he failed to vote either for Annexation or
<br />against annexation, that a majority of all the votes cast at special election in said Town
<br />of Redwood City were and are in'favor of such annexation, and a majority of all the votes
<br />and ballots oast in said municipal corporation at said special election upon the proposition
<br />as to whether or not the said new uninhabited territorjr should be annexed to,incorporated
<br />in and made a part of said municipal corporation, the Town of Redwood City,were and are in
<br />favor of such annexation,
