Mc.Nulty,J.C.Jones,Geo.A.ifreiss,City Clerk W.A.Price. <br />j <br />Minutes of the regular meeting held Septembe.r <br />3rd.1918 were read and on motion of <br />i, Trustee Jones,seconded by Trustee greiss same be <br />approved as <br />read.Motion Carried. <br />The resignation of J.C.Dickey,Supt, of Water <br />System(same <br />to'take effect at once)was <br />llasignatoi� <br />received and on motion of Trustee Sreiss,seconded <br />by Trustee <br />Ryan same be accepted, <br />Motion Carried. <br />Application of C.Buford Chasten forfa permit to hold a social dance in Forester's <br />Hall on September 28th.1918 until 3 o'clock was granted on motion of.Trustee Ryan, <br />seconded by Trustee Jones. <br />Communication from J.C.Tompkins requesting his application for auto service permit <br />be posponed,was on motion of Trustee Me.Nulty,seconded by Trustee Ryan said hearing be <br />continued to October 2Ist.1918;at 8 O'clock P.M. Motion Carried. <br />Report of Plumbing Inspector R.C.Smoot was received and on motion of Trustee Mc.Nulty, <br />seconded by Trustee Sreiss same be received and flled,Motion Carried. <br />Application of The Pacific Gas & Electric Company for permission to set poles on f� <br />Davis Street,as per BLUE PRINT # 247 R attached was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded <br />by Trustee Jones,same be granted,with the approval of the City Electrician,Motion Carried. <br />1. <br />Moved by Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Jones it be the sense of this Board at 1'lekzriHy <br />this time in the matter of reducing the City expenses, the service of Police Officer eXlt­ehses <br />of. <br />S.Douglass and extra Police Officer T.F.Maloney be discontinued on and after October �Deh fi <br />Ist.1918;also the position of Poundmaster be declared vacant,isame to take effect at once, <br />Motion Carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Sreiss,seconded by Trustee Mc.Nulty,the Supt.of Streets from now Aftjyo;fflmall ` <br />a1� <br />on also act and attend to the duties of Supt.of Water System,i:iotion Carried. S.�ktPffrtr <br />sysfi¢i" <br />Trustee IAc.Nulty presents the following Resolution and moves its adoption,Trustee <br />Ryan seconds the motion. <br />RESOLUTION FIXING TAX RATE FOR THE TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />19i8-i9ig- <br />RESOLVED,by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redw od City,that the rate of taxes <br />for the fiscal year 1918-1919 for general municipal purposes and for the general fund of <br />said Town of Redwood City,be, and the same is hereby fixed at one dollar(ol) upon each <br />one hundred dollars of the assessed valuation of the property in said Town- and �eSa/rrliay <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the rate of taxes for the fiscal year 1918-1919 upon each flxitid <br />one hundred dollars of the assessed valuation of thei,property in said Town of Redwood City, raX�Q�e <br />for the payment of the municipal improvements bonds of 1905 falling due and becoming payable bol" <br />during said year,together with the interest thereon,be and the same is hereby fixed at <br />eighteen cents and five mills; and <br />1918-1919 upon each <br />Be IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the rate of taxes for the fiscal year <br />one hundred dollars for the assessed valuation of the property in said Town of Redwood City, <br />for the payment of the extension of water system bonds falling due and becoming payable <br />during said fiscal year,together with the interest thereon,be and the same is hereby fixed <br />at five cents and five mills; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the rate of taxes for the fiscal year 1918-1919 upon each <br />one hundred dollars for the assessed valuation of the property in said Town of Redwood <br />
