<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present; -Trustees President Carl K.Mabie,M.E.Ryan, Geo.W.Mc.Nulty,
<br />J.C.Jones,Geo.A.Kreiss,City Clerk W.A.Price.
<br />IL=tes of regular meeting held August 18th.1919 and regular adjourned meeting held Augus,
<br />25th.1919 were read and on motion of Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Mc.Nulty and carriei:,
<br />same be approved as read.
<br />"Affidavit of D.E.O'Keefe in the matter of Publishing notice of inviting sealed proposals
<br />for construction of concrete culvert on Webster Street,was on motion of Trustee Jones,
<br />seconded by Trustee Kreiss and carried same be received and filed.
<br />The following bids were received for the construction of a concrete culvert on Webster
<br />Street,and were publicly opened ,examined and declared.
<br />Name of Bidder,Ches.J.Lindgren,Burlingame,Cal.
<br />For the construction of the Culvert complete,the sum of $ I290.00

<br />Moved be Trustee Mc.Nulty,seconded by Trustee Kreiss and carried,the contract for the
<br />construction of concrete•culvert be awarded to Guiseppe Tocchetto,he being the lowest bidden,
<br />and the certified checks be returned to the unsuccessful bidders.
<br />Application of the Sequoyal Club for a permit to hold a 3 o'clock dance,in Forester's
<br />gall on Saturday night September 13th.I9I9 was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Truster
<br />Kreiss same be granted,Motion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Ryan,Curtis Bros,Carnival Company be
<br />granted permission to exhibit in this City for 5 days,the license for same to be 0 30.00
<br />per day or a blanket license of 0 150.00 for five days,Motion Carried.
<br />Moved by Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Kreiss,the City Health Officer be requested to
<br />Ithe
<br />attend the Convention of Health Officers at Riverside on October 20th to October 24.th.Iglg,
<br />City to pay his traveling and hotel expenses,Motion Carried.
<br />Application of Mrs.G.Casaretto for a permit to hold a dance at 1304. El Camino Real on
<br />September 6th.and 20th,Ig19 ,until the hour of I2 o'clock,P.M. was on motion of Trustee
<br />Ryan,seconded by Trustee Jones same be granted,Motion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Ryan,the City Attorney be tnstructed to -
<br />draft a building ordinance,Motion Carried.
<br />Moved by Trustee Kreiss,seoonded by Trustee McNulty and carried,the City Clerk be given
<br />an increase of $ 10.00 per month,same to take effect September Ist.1919.
<br />On motion of Trustee R4c.Nulty,seconded by Trustee Jones and carried,Chief of Police James
<br />P.Coleman be granted two weeks leave of absence,
<br />Reports of Treasurer,I0a.rshall,Supt.of Water System,and Supt.of Streets was on motion of
<br />Trustee Me.Nulty,seconded by Trustee Jones,same be received and filed,Motion Carried.
