<br />A special meeting of the Board of Trustee of the To7,n of Redr'ood %ty is hereby called
<br />at the Council Jhamber of said Board in the Town Hull on Plebster Streat,in said Town
<br />at the hour of 7-30 0' cloclsr i'.1.. on Thursday, the I6th. tray of January, Iala.
<br />The purpose of said meeting is to tape r.hatever action said Board of Trustees deem
<br />necessary in roeard 'to .nearing masks,closing places of business and forbidOing gathering,,
<br />in an effort to check the Influenza epidemic now prevailing in said Totnf,as Well as in
<br />the county of dan ,rteo adjacent thereto.

<br />the epidemic of the so-called "Span-
<br />ish,In Iuenza,': which Is now preval-
<br />snt In - the Town of Redwood City,,.
<br />Query person appearing on the public
<br />streeta, in any Public place, or in any
<br />assemblage of persons or in anyplace
<br />where two or more persons are con-
<br />gregated, except In homes whereonly
<br />two members of the family are Ipres-
<br />ont; aed every person engaged.in the,
<br />sale, handling or distribution of food-
<br />stuftwor wearing apparel, shall wear
<br />a mask or cohering, except when par-
<br />taking of meals, over the nose and,
<br />mouth consisting of four -ply material
<br />known as butter cloth. or of fine -mesh,
<br />gauze, at the four corners of which
<br />are attached tape or other fastening,
<br />so that the mask or°covering can be
<br />made to firmly cover the nose and
<br />mouth, said mask to be, not less than
<br />five inches .In width and seven in
<br />length.'au
<br />Section'2. " tvery person who shall
<br />violate- any of the provisions of sec -
<br />Heir 1 of this resolution shall be deem
<br />ad guilty of a misdemeanor and shall
<br />be punished by a flue of not less than
<br />five (j6) dollars or more than one
<br />hundred (;166) dollars, or by im-
<br />prisonment in the county Jail for' a
<br />period not exceeding ten daya; or by
<br />both such fine and Imprisonment.
<br />Section S. This resolution shall
<br />be in force#and take effect immed-
<br />iately and shall remain in effect until
<br />repeated.
<br />Section 4. This Resolution shall
<br />be published. once in the Timea`(la-
<br />zette, a weekly' newspaper published.
<br />and printed and clrculated in said
<br />1Pown.

<br />of Trustees of the town of Redwood
<br />City at a special meeting of said
<br />Board duly called and hold_on ,the
<br />16th day of January, 1919, by the
<br />following vote: u

<br />age of the foregoing Resolution,
