We <br />Redwood City,September 20th.1920.8 o'clock P.M. <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held. <br />Upon, roll call there were present Trustees;- President 1I.E.Ryan,Carl K.Mabie,H.C.Tuchsen, <br />Geo.W.lZcNulty,Geo.A.Kreiss,City Clerk W.A.Price. <br />Minutes of regular adjourned meeting held September 13th -I920 were read and on motion <br />of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Kreiss and carried same be approved as read. <br />The following letter was received from Mr.D.R.Stafford and on motion of Trustee Tuchsen, <br />seconded by Trustee ItilcNulty same be received and filed,11otion Carried. <br />Redwood City,September 16,1920. <br />To the Members- of the <br />Board of Town Trustees, <br />Gentlemen; <br />11 I am unable to be present this evening and am writing to sag that it is my <br />best'judgemen.t that there should be no delay in the construction of the spur track connect- <br />ing the 17 NICIPAL DOCK AND CHESTNUT STREET RML ROAD. <br />All other matters are merely incident to this first project and as delays are danger- <br />ous vie had better play safe and do that which the citizens and taxpayers have a-&thorized <br />to be done. <br />To permit any other question to be entertained noyv will be inxiting disaster and <br />therefore I most heartily reccommend that you take immediate steps to sell the bonds and <br />complete the work of laying the tracks. <br />Yours truly., <br />Daniel R.Stafford. <br />The following letter and Resolution was received from the Redwood City Chamber of <br />Commerce and on motion of Trustee Tuchson,seconded by Trustee Mcl3ulty,same be received and <br />filed, and said Resolution be incorporated in the minutes. <br />Redwood City,September 20th.1920. <br />To the <br />Honorable Board of Trustees <br />of the Town of Redwood City, <br />Redwood -City, Cal. <br />Dear Sirs;- <br />Herecrith you will find a copy of a resolution adopted at a recent meeting of the <br />Redwood City Chamber of Commerce and vie will ask that'your Honorable Board take action <br />on this matter as soon as possible. <br />Thanking you for your early consideration'and favorable action,er are <br />Yours respectfully, <br />Redwood City Chamber of Commerce, <br />M.J.Knox, President. <br />--------------------- <br />BE IT RESOLVED, That the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce favors the proposition of <br />the Town of Redwood City constructing the spur track from Chestnut Street to the proposed <br />Municipal Wharf at the foot of Main Street and that this body recom:.ied to the Board of <br />Trustees of the Town of Redwood City that they proceed at once with the sale of the bonds <br />recently voted upon favorably, and that they also -proceed to Liave the track laid without <br />any further delay. <br />It is further recom„iended that the terms of that certain excrow agreement covering_ <br />said Municipal Wharf property, as entered into by the S.H.Frahk & Co, and.the Town of <br />Redwood Oity,be carried out without any modification whatsoever. <br />The foregoing is a copy of a resolution adopted unanimously by the membbrs of the <br />Redwood City Chamber of Commerce at a special meeting of said Chamber,held on September <br />16th.192O# <br />F.K.Towne. <br />------------------------------- <br />Secretary. <br />---------------- --- - <br />Secretary. <br />?'owed by Trustee Iolollulty,seconded by Trmstee Tuchsen, the New Fire House be accepted <br />by this Board as completed accoxding. to 'the, plans and specif cation's ;I,iotion Carried. <br />0 <br />I <br />
