<br />Upon roll call there were present Trustees;- President M.E.Ryan,Carl K.Mabie,N.C.

<br />On motion of Trustee Ideldulty,seconded 'ky Trustee Kreiss and carried the reading of the
<br />minutes of the regular meeting held December 6th.1920 be dispensed with.

<br />It now being the time of taking' he hearing of charges made by Thomas Curran at the
<br />p meting that illenii- gambling of cards for money in certain poolrooms in the City,
<br />After taki g testimony from several witness,it was then on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,secondel
<br />by Trustee Kreiss, the matter be taken under further consideration, and the police committee
<br />bring in suggesti =sto-remedy; the existing situation at the next meeting.11otion Carried.
<br />Report of C.L,Collins City Electrician and C.L.Dimmitt,City Engineer in the matter of
<br />installing lights on oak trees in roadway on Broadway and Hopkins ,Avenue,estimating in the
<br />amount of �V` 1163.50,w5s on motion of Trustee McNuity,seconded by Trustee Ilabie,said report
<br />be received and filed, Motion Carried.
<br />The report of the Commitee on the treee situation was to the effect that all trees
<br />found on the streets of the city be removed from curb to curb,vas bn� =tion of Trustee
<br />Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Mabi.e the report of the Committee be accepted.11otion Carried.

<br />the attendance to fires,also containing certain recommendations to the Board for their
<br />consideration,before making the motion to accept the report Trustee Tuchsen --commended'
<br />IJr.Ryan on his report and the good work the firemen had done,also the Board should careMly
<br />consider the recommendation made by the Chief and be given attention from time to time,there-
<br />upon Trustee Tuchsen moves,seconded by Trustee McNulty, the report be received and filed,

<br />Ed Allen Committeeman from Redwood City Fire Department presented the following names
<br />of officers elected by the Fire Department to be ratified by the Board for coming year,
<br />LI.E.Ryan,Chief-Fred George Ist.Assnt.-Clarence Choate-2nd.Assnt, and A.S.Liguori,Sect.and
<br />Treasurer was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Kabie,said election be
<br />confirmed by the Board.I,iotion Carried.
<br />On notion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee I.IcNu�ty, the City Attorney be instructed
<br />to draw up an ordinance for the removal of dry grass and other material from private propertl,,
<br />.lotion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee 11cIlulty,seconded by Trustee Tuchsen, the Town purchase three drink-
<br />ing fountains for the new Central Firehouse,same to cost the sum of Nine Dollars each.11otion
<br />Darried.
<br />Moved by Trustee Tuchsen, seconded b;r Trustee McNulty the City Electrician be instruct-
<br />sd to loop into the matter of installing a street light on Grand Street,between Brewster
<br />ind Hopkins Avenues,I.Iotion Carried.
<br />Moved by Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee I,Iabie,the resignation of G.O.P1ump as
<br />trustee of Redwood City Free Library be accepted IMotion Carried.
<br />President II..E.Ryan presented the following names as appointees for trustees of the
<br />Redwood City Free Library;-P.P.Chamberlain,Archer Kincaid-H.I7.47akke2?-Catherine J.Boyle-
<br />,Irs.A.S.Ma.lenborn,Moved by Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee I.Icllulty the Board accept the
<br />recormiendation of the Chairman and confirm the appointment of said parties.Motion Carried.
