239 <br />Redwood City,January 3rd.192I97-30 o'clock P.M. <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held. <br />1 upon roll call there were present; -Trustees President M.E.Ryan,Car1 K.Mabie,H.C. <br />Tuchsen+ yGeo*WoMoNult+ Geo.A.Sreiss Clerk W.A.Price. <br />Minutes of regular meeting held December 20th.1920 was read and on motion of Trastee <br />Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Kreiss and carried same be approved as read. <br />Application of Court Madrone § 158,Hall Assn,for a permit to hold a three o'clock <br />dance in Forester's Hall on Saturday evening January 15th,I92I and February 5th.192I was <br />on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee McNulty same be granted. <br />Application off Court Madrone # 158 F.p.A. -for a permit to hold a three o'clock dance <br />in Forester's Hall on Saturday evening January 29th.192I was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen, <br />seconded by Trustee McNulty same be granted.Motion Carried. <br />Application of Guido Farnaciari Company for a permit to hold a dance at 1304 E10amino <br />Real Saturday evenings of January 8th.and 15th,I92I until twelve o''clock was on motion <br />of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Mabie said permit be granted,Motion Carried. <br />Communication from Miss Florence Boggs thanking the Board for their kind donation to <br />the little orphans at the emergency Hospital and also one from Redwood Troop j I,Boy <br />Scouts for the donation from the Board was on motion of Trustee Tucheen,seconded by Trustee <br />Kreiss,same be received and filed. <br />Affidavit of Henry W.Walker as membbr of the Board of Trustees of the Redwood City <br />Public Library was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee MoNulty,same be receives <br />and filed. <br />Application of Pacific Gas & Electric Company for permission to set poles on Hancock <br />Street as shown on Blue Print § 437 -R -was on motion of Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee <br />McNulty said permission be granted.Motion Carried. <br />Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company for a permit to set pole as per <br />Blue Print f 440-R was on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee McNulty said permit <br />be granted.Motion Carried. <br />Mr.J.A.Rose,Supt.pf the Signal System of the Southern Pacific Company appdared'at the <br />request of the Board at the last meeting regarding the gate situation at the Broadway <br />crossing,after talking over the situation Mr.Rose informed the Board that he would do every- <br />thing within his power to remedy the situation, and promised the Board that he would give <br />this City the same gate service that is given Palo Alto and other places. <br />Communication from the Pioneer Rubber Mills Company requesting the return of their <br />certified check on deposit for their bid on hose was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seeonded <br />by Trustee McNulty the Clerk be instructed to write them to the effect the hose was not <br />up to the requirements, and ask them to take the necessary steps to remedy the defective <br />parts.Motion Carried. <br />A @heck in the amount of $ 79.51 was received from the State Compensation Insurance <br />Fund for the second and final dividend to policy holders for the year 1917 <br />Moved by Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Mabie,the automobile owned by the City be <br />numbered as the City Mechanic sees fit.Motion Carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Mabie, the Clerk be instructed to <br />write the representives of the Redwood City Water Company to meet in caucus with the Board <br />Monday evening January IOth.192I at eight o'clock P.M.Motion Carried. <br />1 ^ <br />
