256 <br />Redwood City,April 4th.192I98 o'clock P.M. <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held. <br />Upon roll call there were present Trustees;-Presi&ent M.E.Ryan,H.C.Tuchsen,Geo.Wo <br />McNulty,Geo.$.Kreiss,City Clerk W.A.Price,Absent Trustee. Carl K.Mabie. <br />Minutes of regular meeting held March 2Ist.192I were,read and on motion of Trustee <br />Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee McNulty same be approved as read,Motion Carried. <br />A delegation of property owners of Wellesley Park appeared before the Board protesting <br />against the construction of small shacks in the Wellesley Park Tract,after being addressed <br />by several of the residents of that section,it was moved by Trustee Tuchsen, seconded by <br />Trustee McNulty and carried,the City Attorney be instructed to investigate the building <br />Ordinance of -the Cities of Burlingame and Palo Alto, land draw up a similat ordinance for thi <br />Town of Redwood City. <br />Mr,C.G.Lambert addressed the Board in regards the extending of Duane Street from <br />Whipple Avenue to Oakdale Street,was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee <br />McNulty,the matter be referred to the City Engineer for an estimate cost of said extension <br />and report at next meeting,Motion Carried. <br />Mr.L.P.Behrens appeared before the Board in behalf of the property owners on Jefferson <br />Avenue,between the State Highway and Adams Street in regards to the improving of said <br />Avenue,was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee McNulty,said matter be taken <br />under advisement by the Board,Motion Carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Tuchsen and carried,the City Engineer <br />be instructed to make soundings and secure as definite as possible as the cost and advis- <br />ability of constructing the spur track and road to deep water and also a municipal wharf <br />at that point . <br />Moved by Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Tuchsen, the City Engineer be instructed <br />to re-establish the grades on E1 Camino Real to conform with the present grades on ti.e <br />highway,Motion Carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried,commencing April <br />15th.192I, the charge for water connection be the sum of Ten (IO.00)Dollars, the City jo <br />furnish the water meters. <br />Communication from a Hynding of the Western Meat Company in regards having some Fire <br />Hose and nozzles for sale,was on motion of Trustee Tucheen,seconded by Trustee McNulty <br />said communication be referred to the Fire Department, Motion Carried. <br />Application of the jazz Club of a permit to conduct a dance in Masonic Hall until <br />one o'clock Saturday evening April 16th.192I was granted on motion of Trustee Kreiss, <br />seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried <br />Application of G.Farnaciari for a permit to hold a 12 o'clock dance at 1304 El Camino <br />Real on Saturday evening April 9th.and 16th.192I was gmanted on motion of Trustee McNulty, <br />seconded ny Trustee Kreiss,Motion Carried. <br />Application of the Peninsular Club for a permit to hold a I a'clock dance in Masonic <br />Hall Saturday evening April 9th.192I was on motion of Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee <br />McNulty said permit be granted,Motion Carried. <br />0 <br />
