, <br />Redwood City,August I,292I,8 o'clock P.M. <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held. <br />Upon roll call there were present Trustees -President M.E.Ryan,Carl K.Iuiabie,H.C.Tuchsen, <br />Geo.W.McNulty,Geo.A.Kreiss,City Clerk W.A.Price. <br />Minutes of regular meeting held July 18th.1921 were read and on motion of Trustee Tucshen, <br />seconded by Trustee McNulty,same be approved as read,Motion Carried. <br />Communication from Joshua Hendy Iron Works,submitting a quotation for cast iron posts <br />for the sum of 0 45.00,each. delivered on cars Redwood City was on motion of Trustee Kreiss, <br />seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried same be received and filed. <br />Comminication from Pacific States Electric Company submitting a price on Union Metal <br />Standard Post,for the sum of 0 45.00 freight allowed to Redwood City,was on motion of <br />Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Mabie,same be received and filed,Motion Carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried,City Electrician be <br />instructed to furnish a report to the Board at next meeting the cost of removing the Red- <br />wood City Electric sign from Broadway and Winslow Street to Broadway and State Highway. <br />On motion. of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded,by Trustee Mabie,the City Attorney be instructeel <br />Y to draw up the necessary papers with the Sequoia High School Trustees for a piece of <br />ground on the north corner of Broadway anET State Highway,Motion Carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Tucshen,seconded by Trustee Mabie Fire Chief Ryan be authorized <br />to make the necessary water test for fire fighting,Motion Carried. <br />Application of Pacific Gas & Electric Company for permission to contact on one pole <br />belonging to the City of Redwood between Clinton and Duane Streets was on motion of Trustec <br />Mabie,seconded by Trustee Kreiss and carried said permit be granted. <br />Application of Native Sons Golden West fir a permit to hold a one o'clock dance in <br />in Foresters Hall on Saturday evening August 13th.192I was on motion of Rrustee Mabie, <br />seconded by Trustee Iei cNulty and carried said permit be granted. <br />Application of the Bachelors Club for a permit to hold a one o'clock dnace in Forest <br />Hall on August 20th.192I,was on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trgtsee Kreiss,said <br />permit be granted. <br />Application of CourtIldladrone # 158 Hall Assn.for a permit to hold a one o'lcock dance <br />in Forester's Hall on Saturday evening Aug.Lst 6th.192l,same was granted on motion of Truste3 <br />Mabie,seconded by Trustee Kreissknd carried. <br />Application of G.Farnaciari Company for a permit to holo a twelve o'lock dance on <br />Saturday evenings of August 6th.and 13th.1921 was on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by <br />Trustee McNulty said permits be granted.Motion Carried. <br />Communication from the Peninsula Burner and Oil Company regarding the bill for the <br />repairing the heater,was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Tilistee McNulty same be <br />received and filed,Motion Carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee McNulty, the clerk be instructed to <br />write Plumbing Inspector Drathman requesting him to furnish the Board with a list of new <br />and old houses that have come under his observation that are not connected with the main <br />sewer,Motion Carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Kreiss,a meter reading be made of the <br />gasoline tank at the Central Fire House on change of shifts,Motion Carried. <br />27 <br />
