<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held,
<br />Upon roll call there werav present Trustees:- President G.W.Meldulty,Carl K. Mabie,H.A.Beeger
<br />M.E.Ryan, City Clerk FI.A.Price,
<br />Minutes of regular meeting, held September 18th, 1922.,were read and on motion of Trustee
<br />Ryan seconded by Trustee Mabie same be approved as read, Motion Carried*,
<br />On motion of Trustee Beeger, seconded.'by Trustee Malbie the Pacigic Gas & Electric Co, be
<br />permission to replace the gas pipe on Jefferson Ave near Adams Street. Motion Carried,
<br />Moved by Trustee Beeger, seconded by Trustee ISabie Ordinanace E0150 be changed to read
<br />500 gallons instead of 250 gallons, and the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an
<br />amendment to said Ordinance accordly, Also Mr S.H.Stith be granted a permit to install a
<br />500 gallon tank at his Oil Station corner of Broadway and State Highway: Motion Carried,
<br />Communication from the Redwood CityCommercial Club requesting the Board to extend the
<br />dance permits from 1 o'clock, A.M. to 3 oclock, A.M. there being no application before the
<br />Boaad asking for a 3 o'clock permit it was on motion of Trustee Beeger, seconded by Trustee
<br />Mabie same be received and filed: Motion Carried,
<br />Communication from the Redwood City Commercial Club in regards to the protest of severaL
<br />merchants against the practice of the Night Watchman in making charges for switching on and
<br />off of the electric lights in front of their place of business at nights, was on motion of
<br />Trustee Ryan, seconded by Trustee Beeger same be referred to the Police Committee jilotion Car d,
<br />Communication from the Golden Poppy Chapter No 2,Disabled American Veterans, and also
<br />the State Officdals.Of the Disabled Veterans of the Worlds War, was on motion of Trustee
<br />Mabie, seconded by Trustee Beeger both letters be received and filed and the Clerk notify
<br />the Golden Poppy Chapter the Chairman would appoint a Committee as requested by the State
<br />Officials of the Disabled Veterans. Motion Carried.
<br />Communication from the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce, regarding City Planing, was
<br />on motion of Trustee Mabie, seconded by Trustee Ryan, said communication be laid on the tab Le
<br />until next meeting. Motion Carried,
<br />Application of Joseph M Faso for a permit to carry on a taxi service in the Town of
<br />Redwood City, and located at 72 Broadway, vra.s on motion of Trustee Mabie, seconded by Trustm.e
<br />Beeger said permit be granted: Motion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Mabie, seconded by TrusteeRyan.'Mr T.C.Tlood be granted a temporary
<br />permission to place a sign on Block 8, Chestnut st, and State Highvray, same to be removable
<br />at anytime, Motion Caried.
<br />Application of Bonita Parlor No 10, N.D.G.W. for a permit to hold a 1 o'clock dance in
<br />Forester's Hall Oct 7th,1922;was on motion of Trustee Ryan, seconded by Trustee Mabie same
<br />be granted: I -lotion Carried.
<br />Communication from the Swett Bros Co, in regards to reducing the general fire rates fot
<br />this City, was on motion of Trustee Ryan, seconded by Trustee' Beeger same be referred to tha
<br />City Engineer and Supt of Water, they to be assisted by the Fire Dept, Motion Carried,
<br />Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Co for permission to set one pole on Bradford
<br />Stas per Blue Print J655-R,and,to set one pole on Foothill Blvd as per Blue Print r4656 -R,
<br />also to set several poles and make one contact on pole of Redwood City, asper Blue Print
<br />#661-R, was on motion of Trustee Mabie, seconded by Trustee Beeger same be granted:
