<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City heid.
<br />Upon roll call there present; -Trustees President G.VJ.I,IcNulty,Carl K.Idabie,H.A.,Beeger,
<br />Ryan. City Clerk 1'J.b.?riCe.
<br />ISinutes of regular meeting held October 16th.1922 and regular adjourned meeting held
<br />October 23rd.1922 were read and on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Beeger same
<br />be approved as read, lJotion Curried.
<br />Moved by Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee liabie, the City Attorney and City Clerk writ(,:
<br />the property owners on Webster Street,be'tween E.Jefferson Atenue and paved street in regarLs
<br />to have that part of street improved with concrete bases and asphalt topping,motion Carriei.
<br />Trustee Ryan offers the following resolution and moves its adoption,to-wit;
<br />,The Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City does hereby determine and resolve as
<br />follows,to crit;
<br />Section I. That the public. interest and public necessity of said municipality, said Town of
<br />Redwood City, and of the inhabitants thereof, demand the acquisiti on, construct ion end com-
<br />pletion of the following municipal improvements in and for said Townito-crit;
<br />The acquisition, construction and completion of a municipal park and play ground by the
<br />acquiring ofuthat certain parcel of land in said Town of Redwood City,bounded on the north
<br />west by Brewster avenue,on the southwest by El Camino Real,on the south by Broadway and on
<br />the northeast by the lands of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company,and the construction
<br />thereon of a municipal park and playground,including swimming pool,bathhouse,tennis courts
<br />and playground apparatus.
<br />That the estimate cost of the acquiring of the land and the work and improvements de-
<br />scribed in Sevtion I,above mentioned,is the sum of forty thousand (5? 40,000) dollars.
<br />SEOTION 2. That the cost of the acquiring the land and the work and improvements herein-
<br />above mentioned is to great to be paid oit of the ordinary annual income and revenue of
<br />the said Town of Redw6cbd City,and said improvements will, require an expenditure greater
<br />than the amount allowed for said improvements by the annual tax levy, and_that it is the
<br />intention of the Board of Trusteesof said Town of Redwood City to have and secure said
<br />improvements to be made,acquirea,constructed and established.
<br />And said Board of Trustees does hereby determine that all necessary and prmper proceedings
<br />be,and the same shall be taken and had as provided by the laws of the State of California,
<br />for the purpose and -to the, end of having,acquiring,mdking,constructing and establishing ,
<br />said municipal improvements.
<br />Trustee Beeger sec)nds the motion, and upon roll the same was passed and adopted at a
<br />regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City,County of San I,Tateo,
<br />State of California,held on the 6th.day of Bovember,1922,bV the following vote; -
<br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution,Trustees,
<br />Carl II.T;aabie,H.A.Beeger, I;I.E.Ryan, G.W.IgcTdulty.

<br />On motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Beeger; the bond received from the Pacific
<br />Telegraph and Telephone Company :dor maintaining streets that were dug up ,be rejected and
<br />teturned to the Oompany to have it changed to read one year instead of eiUht months,I�,Jotion
<br />Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Ryan and carried, the repairing of the
<br />roof of the City Hall be referred to Building Inspector Drathman to report on same at next
<br />meeting.
