R -84 <br />Redwood City,July 2nd.1923,8 o'clock P.M. <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held. <br />Upon roll call there were present, Trustees President G.W.AleNulty,C.K.Idlabie,A.B.Monteith, <br />H.A.Beeger,M.E.Ryan,City Clerk w.A.Price. <br />Minutes of regclar meetings of May 2Ist.June 4th and June 18th*I923 were readn and <br />on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Beeger a3id carried same be approved as read. <br />The following dance _permits were granted on"motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee <br />Monteith and carried-; <br />Guild of Episcopal Church,Tuesday evening July 3rd.1923 until I2 o'clock,woman's Club <br />House. <br />Redwood City '.L3oberty C1ub,Saturday evening July 14'th.1923,I.0.0 F.Hail until One o'clock. <br />S.Weissman,Saturday evening July 21st.1923,Forester's Hall until one o'clock . <br />Communication from the Redwood City Progress Club in regards to the removal of dry grass <br />on unoccupied lots was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried, <br />same be received and filed, and referred to the City Attorney for reply. <br />On motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Idabie, the Clerk be authorized to <br />enter into contract with the Pacific States Electric Company for lamps from July Ist.1923. <br />to June,30th.1924,Motion Carried. <br />Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company for permission to set two poles <br />on Madison avenue and one pole on Whipple Avenue was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconled <br />by Trustee Beeger said permits be granted.Motion Carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried,the Clerk be <br />instructed to draw warrant in favor f the National Cast Iron Dips Co, for cast iron <br />water pipe and tees, after deducting the sum of cfifty cents for freight on one 6"X4" <br />tee and 0 2922 for 4.4" plugs not roe 6tv.dd,leaving the amount of warrant 0 3708.56. <br />Report of the Trustees of Redwood City Free Library was presented for the past fiscal <br />year,ending June 30th.1923 and on motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Mabie, <br />said report be received and filed, and the Clerk be instructed to write the Library <br />Trustees expressing the Board's appreciation of thsir excellent report ,Motion Carried. <br />C.L.Dimmitt,City Engineer presented to the Board a Map of Graceland Park, Subdivision <br />and on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Ryan said map be approved by the <br />Board,Motion Carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Ryan and carried, the Board grant Hess & CO <br />permission to proceed with improvement of Finger avenue, the property owners refusing <br />5 <br />to sign up, the Board to proceed with the work under improvement proceed L�,Sotion Carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried the City Clerk be <br />instructed to advertise for Bids on a car load of cast iron water pipe,stze and quanity <br />to be submitted by the Supt.of t'later,said Bids to be opened August 6th.1923,at 81olock <br />P.M. <br />Report of the Treasurer,Tax Collector,Marshall,Building Plumbing,Electrical Inspector <br />and Poundmaster was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried, <br />same be reci:ved and filed. <br />The following claims were Oked and passed on by the Finance Committee No,1117 to No. <br />1237 ince Motion Carried. <br />
