92 <br />. <br />RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except <br />that next b.erein mentioned, and°horeby awards the contract for doing said work and making <br />said improvements to the lowest responsible bidder,to-wit; <br />A.TEICHERT & SON. <br />at the prices named in their bid. <br />The Town clerk of the T8wn of Redwood City is hereby directed to post a notice of this <br />award conspicuously for five days,on or near the council chamber door of said Board of <br />Trustees of said Town of Redwood City,and also publish, said notice by two successive in- <br />serions in the Redwood City Standard, aweekly newspaper published, printed and circulated <br />in said Town of Redwood City,(there being no daily,or semi weekly newspaper published or E <br />printed therein); and hereby designated for -that purpose by said Board of Trustees. <br />Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City at the hour of <br />k <br />8.50 o'clock P.M. at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 16th.day of July,1923, <br />by the following vote; <br />w <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution of Award NO.F•-7,Trust, ees, j i <br />O.K.Mabie,A..E.Monteith,H.A.Beeger,M.E.Ryan,G.W.DieNulty. <br />-------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Noes and against the passage of the foregoing Resolution of Award No.F-7 Trustees, <br />None. <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Absent,Trustee,None. <br />--;----------------------- G.W.McNulty. <br />------------------------------------ ------- <br />President of the Board of Trustees of the <br />Town of Redwood City, <br />Attest. H.A.Beeger, <br />------------------------------------------ <br />Clerk Pro -Tem of the Town of Redwood City, <br />I hereby approve the foregoing Resolution of Award NO -F-7 this 16th.day of July,1923. <br />G.W.McNulty. <br />-------------------------------------------- <br />President of the Board of Trustees of the <br />Town of Redwood City. <br />Moved by Trustee Ryan.seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried certified checks of un- <br />sucessful bidders be returned. <br />Communication from Lambert and Walter regarding earthquake insurance on fire house was on <br />motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Ryan same be received and filed, Motion Carriei.. <br />Bill presented by Lambert and Walter for insurance on fire house was laid over, and <br />referred to the clerk to be returned as this insurance was not ordered. <br />Several members of the Redwood City Progress Club appeared before the Board expressing <br />their desire to co-operate with the Board of Trustees on any matters of public interest, <br />also endorsing the purchase of the water company. <br />Mt,Messick appeared before the Board asking about the status of his bill for damages <br />done by the Redwood City Water Company by overflow of water was referred to the City <br />Attorney to write the Water Company asking then to pay this bill, <br />Communication from Geo.H.Peterson 27 Reese Street reporting the unsafe condition of <br />the bridge on Reese Street near Redwood Avenue,was on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by <br />Trustee Monteith said letter be referred to Supt,of Streets,Motion Carried. <br />Application of the Old Timer's Club for permission to hold dances -evvery Wednesday <br />evening,starting August Ist.1923,fee to be paid ,I 2.50 for each dance permit ,was on motion_ <br />of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Monteith,permit be granted for August Ist.1923,Motion <br />Carried. <br />Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company for a permit to set one pole on Vera <br />Avenue, and one pole on Standish Street,as per Blue Print # 769-R was on motion of Trustee <br />Mabie,seconded by Trustee Ryan and carried said permit be granted. <br />I� <br />t <br />L I <br />
