Absent, Trustees,A.E.ilTonteith,IT.E.Ryan. <br />Moved by Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Mabie and carried, the minutes of July <br />2nd.July 16th. and August 6th.1923 be dispensed vrit�x until next regtilar meating. <br />Moved by Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried,Chief of Police <br />Collins be authorized to purchase, a 1924 Harley-Davidson Motor Cycle,in 'the sum of 7454.50• <br />Affidavit of Jas.D.Hedge in the matter of publishing and affidavit of C.L.Dimmitt <br />Supt.of Streets in the matter of posting notices of improvements under -Resolution of <br />Inte,_tion No.F-9-vra.s on motion, of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trus -'L ee Beeger and carried <br />same be received and filed. <br />There being no protests, against 'the improvements under Resolution of Intention No. <br />F-9,Trustee Beeger offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption, Trustee Mabie <br />seconds the moti.on.I:Iotion Carried. <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE 1ORK NO. F- 9. <br />RESOLVED, that whereas -the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, did, on <br />the 16th day of July, 1923, pass and adopt its Resolution of Intention No. F-9 to order the <br />hereinafter described work to be done and improvements to be made in said Town of Redwood <br />City, which Resolution of Intention No, F-9 was duly and legally published as required by <br />law as appears from affidavit of J.D.Hedge,-now on file in the office of the Clerk of the <br />Town. of Redwood City; and <br />IMEREAS, notices of the passage off said Resolution of Intention No. F-9, headed <br />"NOTICE OF IMPROVEErTT'? were duly and legally posted along the line of said contemplated <br />work and improvements and in front of all property liable to be assessed and upon all the <br />street in the district to be assessed in time, form, manner and number as required by law <br />as appears from affidavit of C.L.Dimmitt, Street Superintendent of the Town of Redwood City, <br />and now on file in the office of the Clerk of said Town; and <br />MIERE&S9 it appears from said affidavit of C.L.Dimmitt, said Street Superintendent, <br />as aforesaid that the posting of said notices of improvement as aforesaid was completed on <br />the 31st day of July, 1923; and <br />-WHEREAS; at the time and place fixed in said Resolution of Intention No. F-9.and iz <br />the notice of the passage thereof so posted as aforesaid when and where any and all persona <br />having any objection to the proposed work and improvements described therein or to the <br />proposed grades at which said work and improvements is to be done and -made could appear <br />before the Board of Trustees of the Tovm of Redvrood. City and show cause why said work and <br />improvements should not be carried out according to said Resolution of Intention No, F-9, <br />or why said work and improvements should not be made and done at the proposed grades shown <br />on the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the Clerk of the <br />Town of Redwood City, no person or persons appeared and no objections of any kind were mad3 <br />against said work and improvements or against said proposed grades and said Board of Trustr3es <br />now having acquired the jurisdiction to order said work and improvements, therefor be it <br />RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience require the work and improveme_its <br />herein described, and the Board of Trustees of the Tovm of Redwood City hereby orders the <br />following work to be done and improvements to be made in said Tovm of Redwood City, to -wit; <br />1H <br />11 <br />
