<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present Trustees; -President G.W.UcUulty,Carl K.IIabie.,H#A,
<br />Bee ;er,i;I.E.Ryan, Clerk ,'f.A.Price.
<br />liinutes of Regular meeting held December 18th.1922 and regular adjourned meeting held
<br />December 26th.1922 were read and on motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Iiabie same
<br />be approved as read,11otion Carried.
<br />On account of being appointed Deputy Sheriff and County Jailer night officer P.J.Larrecc
<br />presented his resignation as night officer to the Boa-rd.,same to take effect as 12 o'clock
<br />noon,January 8th.1923,on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Miabie and carried same
<br />be accepted.
<br />On motion of Trustee liabie,seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried, the recommendation
<br />of Chief of Police C.L.Collins in the appointment of Edward McAuliffe as permanent night
<br />ofyicer and Deputy I.iarshall, and Stanley Wood as extra police officer,said.appointments
<br />be accepted by the Board.
<br />Application of the ¢0 Hommes and 8 Chavegux of the American Legion for a permit to hold
<br />a dance in :.0orest-er's Hall Saturday evening January 13th.I923 until the hour of three .OT
<br />Clock was on motion of trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Ryan,said applic..tion be referred
<br />to Chai.raan liabie 'of the Police Committee with full pourer to act.Isotion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Beeger,second'ed by Trustee Ryan, the Bond of the Pacific Telegraph
<br />and Telephone Company in the amount of One Thousand (71, 1,000) Dollars for the restoring of
<br />excavation of street, for the term of one year,com-,..encing September 6th.1922,same be accept
<br />ed.lioti on Carried.
<br />Communication from the Southern Pacific Company informing the Board, that they have an
<br />appropriation for the Construction of an interlocking plant at the Dumbarton Cut-off,which
<br />:.hen completed will obviate the ringing of bells at the two crossings to a very large exte:
<br />on'raotion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried same be received and file
<br />and the Clerk be instructed to write the Company urging them to rush the installation of
<br />the new system.
<br />Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company for a permit to set two poles on
<br />Sequoia avenue as per Blue Print # 692-R also a permit to set one pole on Oliver street,
<br />South of Roosevelt Avenue, and to set two poles at corner of Roosevelt avenue and Oliver
<br />St-reet.as per Blue Print 71 693-R,was on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Beeger,
<br />said parmits be granted, Motion Carried.
<br />Communication from the Pacific Gas & Electric Company informing the Board, that up to
<br />the present time, they had been unable to secure right of way over back property line of
<br />llr.R.J.Welch,property facing the State Highway,therefore said Company hereby asks the Board
<br />to reconsider their original application,on motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee
<br />Ryan,same be received and filed and referred to the Clerk to take up the matter with Mr.
<br />Welch,Hotion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee 11abie and carried.,a warrant be drawn in
<br />favor of the Seagrave Company in the amount of 0 197.27 .for interest on 0 6500.00 from June
<br />29th to December �Ist.1922 ;also the Chairman be authorized 'to make payment on note in the
<br />amount he thought could be spared From the Treasuvyjjotion Carried.
