<br />DAIN AS FOLLOWS, TO -WIT: l
<br />SECTION 1. Under and pursuant to j
<br />the provisions of that certain Act of
<br />the Legislature of the State of Calk -
<br />forma, entitled, "An Act to provide for
<br />the establishment, government, and
<br />maintenance of the city .planning com-
<br />mission within municipalities, and pre- !
<br />scribing their powers and duties," ap• 1
<br />y proved May 21, 1915, and found In the j
<br />Statutes of 1916, at page 708, together -
<br />j with Acts amendatory thereof, there
<br />Is hereby established and created 1n �
<br />the Town of Redwood City a city plan-
<br />ning commission to be known as the k
<br />"CITY PLANNING COMMISSION• OF
<br />REDWOOD CITY." Said City Planning ±
<br />Commission shall consist of five mem-
<br />bers to be appointed by the President
<br />of the Board of Trustees by and with
<br />i the consent of said Board, one of whose
<br />members must be a member of said -
<br />1 Board of Trustees; and In addition
<br />thereto the city attorney and city en.
<br />gineer, 1f there be one, of such Town,
<br />shall be ex -officio full members of said
<br />r planning commission;, and in addition
<br />4 thereto the President of the Board of j
<br />Trustees of said Town of Redwood. City
<br />shall be an ex -of icto member of said
<br />planning commission but without any
<br />right to vote In the deliberations there- ,
<br />of except In the case of a tie vote,
<br />The five members of said commission
<br />It first appointed shall so classify them-
<br />selves by lot that their respective terms 1
<br />' shall expire as provided by the above -
<br />mentioned Act.
<br />Said city planning commission shall fi
<br />establish such rules and regulations
<br />for their meetings as are permitted and
<br />required by the hereinbefore mentioned
<br />Act.
<br />Section 2. The powers and duties of
<br />said city planning commission shall be
<br />those setforth in the hereinbefore men-
<br />', - tioned Act, together with such other
<br />•••• powers and duties as the Board of Trus-
<br />tees of said Town of Redwood City shalt
<br />from time to time adopt and prescribe.
<br />Section S. All ordinances or parte of
<br />ordinances In conflict with this ordin-
<br />ance are hereby repealed.
<br />Section 4. This ordinance shall be
<br />published once in the Redwood City
<br />i Standard, a weekly newspaper publish-
<br />ed, printed and circulated 1n said Town
<br />of Redwood City and shall take effect '
<br />i - and be in force from and after 80 days j
<br />after Its passage. It
<br />Introduced January 21, 1924.
<br />Passed and adopted as an Ordinance

<br />Board of Trustees of said Town at a ,
<br />a regular meeting of said Board held
<br />on the 4tH day of February, 1924, by i

<br />pletion of the following municipal improvements in and for said Town,to-wit;

<br />The acquisition and purchase of that certain parcel of land in the Town of Redwood City,
<br />bounded on the nortWest by Brewster Avenue,on the southwest by E1 Camino Real,on the south
<br />by Brodaway and on the northeast by the lands of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, for
<br />a municipal park and playpgrounds
<br />r'
<br />That the estimated cost pf the acquisition and purchase of the improvements described
<br />in Section I above mentioned is the sum of thirty -thousand('
