Redwood City,June 16th -I924.8 oiclock P.M. Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town o£ Redwood City held. Upon roll call there were present Trastees,President H.A.Beeger,C.g.Mabie,A.E.Monteith, G.W.MeNulty,M..E,Ryan,Clerk W.A.Price. Minutes of June 2nd.1924 were read and on motion of Trustee Monteith,seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried same be approved as read. Abplication of C.M.Glaze for a master Plumbers license was on motion of Trustee Monteith, seconded by Trustee Mabie same be granted.Motion Carried. Communication from Paul B.Gibson of San Francisco complaining that the Progress Lumber Company has blocked the and of East Bradford Street with piles of lumber,Was on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried same be referred to Chief of Police to notify said company to remove lumber from all stye-ets.Motion Carried. Moved By Trustee McNulty,seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried,application of A. Bertolucci fora permit to conduct a delicatessen store and lunch counter ,on recommendation of the Planning Commission same be granted and Mr.Bertolucci to give a description of.t1a location desired. On motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried the following dance permits be granted to wit; - Sequoia Alumni Assn•in the School gymnasuim,Saturday evening June 2Ist.1924,until I2 olcloch. S•Weissman of San Francisco in Forester's Hall Saturday evehi:ng Jtyne 28th.1924 until one o'clock. On motion of Trustee McNulty,seconded by Trusteee Monteith and carried, the clerk be instructed to pay the final installment for th.e Chemical engine in the amount of 0 3250.00 also inyerest on said installment in 'the amount of $ 84.50. Moved by Trustee McNulty, sedonded by Trustee Monteith and carried, the clerk be author- ized to sign the yearly agreement for Electric lamps,in the amount of $ 600.00,with the Pacific States Electric Co. Trustee Mabie offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption,Trustee Monteith seconds the motion,a4otion Carried. RESOLUTION DECLARING NUISANCE NO.G-2. RESOLVED,by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, that whereas,certain weeds are growing in the Town of Redwood City,upon the streets in front of the property herein- after mentioned,which weeds are of a kind which bear seeds of a wingy and downy mature and will attain such large growth as to become a fire menance when dry, and eihereas the said weeds constitutena public nuisance; - Now THEREFORE,it is hereby declared that the said weeds do now constitude and will contin1ii a public nuisance and it is hereby ordered that the said nuisance be abated in the manner provided by the certain act of the legislature of the State of Oalifornia,entitied11An Act Authorizing Municapalities to declare noxious or dangerous weeds growing upon the streets or sidewalks or upon privAa property within municipalities, to be! a public nuisance, creating a lien upon thelia operty fronting upon such streets or sidewalks or upon which such nuisance exists for the cost of abating samef1Approved May 26th.1915.
