1,218 Redwood City,June 16th.1924,8 o'clock P.M. Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held. Upon roll call Mere were present Trust aes,President H.A. Bee ger, C.i.1,Iabie,A.E.Monteith, G. W.McNulty,M. E. Ryan, Clerk W.A.Pr;ice. Minutes of June 2nd.1924 were read and on motion of Trustee lvionteith,seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried same be approved as read. Application of C.III.Glaze for a master Plumbers license was on motion of Trustee Illonteith, seconded by Trustee Mabie same be granted.M otion Carried. Communication from Paul B.Gibson of San Francisco complaining that the Progress Lumber Company has blacked t1rl, and of East Bradford Street with piles of lumber,was on motion of ' Trustee I+Iabie,seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried same be referred to Chief of Police to notify said company to remove lumber from all streets.;Iotion Carried. Moved. By Trustee Mcuulty,seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried, application of A. Bertolucci for a permit to conduct a delicatessen store and lunch counter ,on recommendation of the Planning Commission same be granted and 11r.Bertolucci to give a description of tre- location desired. On motion of Trustee I,Iabie,seconded by Trustee 1,Ionteith and carried the following dance permits be granted to Sequoia Alumni Assn.in the School gymnasuim,Saturday evening June Hst.1924,u.ntil 12 o'clock. S.Weissman of San Francisco in Forester's Hall Saturday evening June 28th.1924 until one o'clock. On motion of Trustee 14cNulty,seconded by Trusteee I:Lonteith and carried, the clerk be i instructed to pay the final installment for the Chemical engine in the amount of ,r 3250.00 also intrerest on said installment in the amount of •? 84.50. Moved by Trustee McNulty,sedonded by Trustee Monteith and carried, the clerk be author- ized to sign the yearly agreement for Electric lamps,in the amount of ,j 600.00,:rith the Pacific States Electric Co. Trustee IuIabie offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption,Trustee I,Ionteith seconds the motion,110tion Carried. RESOLUTION DECLARING I1UI3-!IiCB NO.G-2. RESOLVED,by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, that whereas,certain weeds are growing in the Town of Redwood City,upon the streets in front of the property herein- after mentioned,which weeds are of a kind which bear seeds of a wingy and downy mature and will attain such large growth as to become a fire menance when dry, and whereas the said weeds constitutena public nuisance; - Now THEREFORE,it is hereby declared that the said heeds do now constitude and will continue a public nuisance and it is hereby ordered that the said nuisance be abated in the :Wanner provided by the certain act of the legislature of the State if California,entitled"An Act Authorizing 1=Iunicapalities to declare noxious or dangerous weeds growing upon the streets or sidewalks or upon private property within municipalities, to be a public nuisance, creating a lien upon the property fronting upon such streets or sidewalks or upon which such nuisance exists for the cost of abating same"Ap roved I.Lay 26th.1915.
