224 <br />Redwood City,June 30th.1924,8 o'clock P.M. <br />Regular adjourned meeting oi' the Board of Trustees held. <br />Upon roll call there were present Trustees President H.A.Beeger,C.g.Mabie,A.E.Monteith, <br />G.W.MeNulty,M.E.Ryan,Clerk W.A.Price. <br />Dn motion of Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Ryan and carried,minutes of June; 23rd. <br />be dispensed with. <br />On motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried the clerk write <br />Jensen and Jensen of San Jose, the refgsal of the Board to pay their bill of 0 16.75 for <br />repairing of radiator of the Schnear Fire Engine for the reason work was not done satisfact- <br />ory. <br />Communication from the Gen,Geo.S.Evans Relief Corps # 36 returning the Forty Dollars <br />donated b the Board for music,as the were unable to procure music for Memorial Day,was <br />y y <br />on motion of Trustee McNulty,seconded by Trustee Ryan,same be received and filed, and the <br />Clerk write and thank them,Motion Carried. <br />Communimation from the Citizen's Committee for the San Mateo County Memorial Park asking <br />for a donation of $ 25.00 to 7}elp defray the expenses for the celebration of July 4-5-6th.1924 <br />was on motion of Trustee McNulty,seconded by Trustee Monteith the sum of $ 25.00 be donated. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Affidavit of C.L.Dimmitt Supt.of Streets in the matter of posting notices under Res- <br />olution NOX-2-Resolution Declaring N�sance was on motion of Trustee Mabia,seconded by <br />Trustee Ryan,same be received and filed. <br />Moved by Trustee Monteith, seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried, the Supt.of Streets <br />be instructed to proceed with the removal .of grass and weeds under Resolution Declaring <br />A Nuisanoe No2GF�2. <br />A petition was presented to the Board by Mr.F.A.Dustin signed by 14 property ownwes in <br />the Sweeney Addition requesting street improvement was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded <br />by Trustee McNulty same be received and filed,and referred to the City Engineer to make <br />a report on same at next meeting,Motion Carried. <br />A petition was recived.from 57 property owners in the Redwood Highlands district protest <br />ing aglinst allowing eight three toom bungalow and bungalow court in that district was on <br />motion of Trustee McNulty,seeonded py Trustee Ryan,said petition be referred to the Planning <br />Commission for action on same,Motion Carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried the following dance <br />permits were granted to-wit;- <br />S.Weissman in Forester's Hall on Saturday evenings July I2th, and July 26th.1924 until one <br />o'clock. <br />Redwood City Liberty Club In I.O.O.F.Hall July 12th.1924 until one o'clock. <br />A communication from C.Wosgan in regards to sawdust and shavings blown over their premises <br />in the vicinity of Allen's Planing Mill,was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded By Trustee <br />Monteith and carried, the City Attorney be instrd.eted to draw up an Ordineace regulating <br />the sawdust and shaving situation in this City. <br />On motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried, the City Clerk be <br />authorized to purchase a motor for adding machine. <br />Moved by Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee McNulty and carried, the Clerk be instructed <br />to .advertise for bids on two car loads of cast iron water pipe,as specified by the Supt. <br />of Water. <br />
