p Redwood City,November 17th.1924. Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees held. Upon roll call there were present, Trus tees.President H.A.Beeger,C.K.Mabie,A.E.Monteith, G.W.MeNulty,M.E.Ryan,Clerk W.A.Price. (� Minutes of regular meeting held November 3rd.1924,were read and on motion of Trustee McNulty,seeonded by Trustee Mabie and carried same be approved as read. A petition received from property owners for the laying of cement sidewalks on the fo: described streets was presented to the Board-; EastvSide of Allerton Street from Alden street North to Standish St. Im South side of Standish Street from Warren Street to Eaton Street. North and South side of East Hopkins Ave to Allerton Street and East to Eaton Street. North side of Samson Street from Allerton Street to Eaton Street. was on motion of •Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Monteith said petition be received and 0 filed for further action,Pdotion Carriedo A petition was presented to the Board from property owners in the vicinity of property purchased by A.Hess on FranKlin Street,Maple Street and State Highway respectfully request- ing said Board not to grant any permit for the location,maintenance and operation of any rock crusher and bunkers on that certain block,on motion of Trustee McNulty,seoonded by Trustee Ryan said petition be received and filed.for future refe.rence.Motion Carried. On motion of Trustee McNulty,seconded by Trustee Monteith and earried,Mr.Edward Dearborn be authorized to proceed under private oontract,the repaving of Washington St from Broadway to Bradford Street,same to be under the supervision of the Supt.of Streets. On motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by TrgsteeaMonteith, the City Electrician be instruct- ed to install a street light at the corner of Harrison Avenue and Cleveland Street prow ided the cost be under the sum of $ 200.00.Motion Carried. Moved by Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee McNulty, the City Engineer be instructed to draw up Plans and Specifications for the Improvement of Harrison Avenu9AAdams and Cleve- land Streete.the cost of same to be about'$ 3.75 per foot,Motion Carried. On motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried, the following dance permits were granted to wit San Mateo Lost No.82 American Legion Forester's Hall Saturday evening November 29th 1924 until one o'clock A.M. Redwood Nest of Owls No.1484 in I.O.O.F.Hall Saturday evening November 22nd.1924 until one V clock. Application of Egward Monroe of San Carlos fora permit as an Electrical Contractor in the Town of Redwood City,was on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Monteith said permit be granted.Motion Carried. Report of the Planning Commission in regards to the set back and zoning map for this city was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Mabie, the Planning Commissioners hold ,f 4 hearing on said propositions ,Mpnday evening November 24th.1924 at 7-300(clook ,Motion Carried. On motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by 'Trustee McNulty,the Building Inspector is he so desires attend the Convention of the National Lumber Manufacturer's Assn at Oakland Cal. . November 20th.2Ist and 22nd.1924,hlotion Carried. j Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company fora permit to set IO poles on Rgtby Avenue between Jefferson Avenue and St.Francis Ave.as per BLUE tRINT No.960 -R was on motion of Trustee McNulty,seconded by Trastee`Mabie said permit be granted.Motion Carried. p• A Communication was received by the Board asking their endorsement of bill S # 1898 now before the U.S.Senate and Congree for an increase in pay for Postal Clekke ,was on motion
