<br />Upon roll call there were present Trastees;- Carl B.Mabia,H.A.Beeger,M.E.Ryan ,Clark W.A.Prica.
<br />Absent Trustee G.W.MoNulty.
<br />On account of absence of Chairman McNulty,Trustes H.A:.Beeger was appointed President pro-
<br />tem,on motion of Trustee Ryan.secondecl by Trustee Mabie and carried.
<br />Minutes of regular meeting held February 5tho and regular adjourned meeting held Feb*13th.
<br />1923 were read and on motion of -Trustee Mabie,seeonded by Trustee Ryan and carried,same be
<br />appribved as read.
<br />Application of the ¢OtHommes and 8 Chaveaua for permission to conduct a dance in
<br />Forester's Hall on Saturday night March 17th,I923, from 8 o'clock to 3 olclook,was on
<br />motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Ryan,same be granted. Motion Carried.
<br />Trustee Mabie offers the following Ordinance and moves its adoption,Trastee Ryan se

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN OR-
<br />DINANCE ENTITLED, "ORDINANCE �
<br />No, 218, AN ORDINANCE REGULAT-
<br />ING THE PLACING, INSTALLING,
<br />OPERATING AND REMOVING OF
<br />ELECTRICAL WIRES AND ELEC-
<br />TRICAL APPARATUS IN TRE TOWN
<br />OF REDWOOD CITY, COUNTY OF
<br />SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFOR-
<br />NIA.
<br />The Board of Trustees of the Town of
<br />Redwood City, do ordain as follows, to- ;
<br />wit:
<br />Section 1. Section 1 of an ordinance
<br />of the Town of Redwood City, entitled, ;
<br />"Ordinance No. 219, An Ordniance,.reg-
<br />ulating the placing, Installing, oper-
<br />ating and removing of Electrical'W,Ires
<br />and Electrical Apparatus In the Town
<br />of Redwood City, County of San Ma-
<br />teo, State of California," passed and
<br />adopted by the Board of Trustees of
<br />said Town of Redwood City on the 17th
<br />day of October, 1921, Is hereby, amend.
<br />ed to read as follows, to -wit:
<br />Sestion 1. Every person, firm or
<br />corporation engaged In the business of
<br />placing, Installing, operating or remov-
<br />ing, or who places, installs operates or
<br />removes, electrical wires, appliances or
<br />apparatus in or on any building or
<br />structure in theTown of Redwood City
<br />shalt appear In person, or by a duly
<br />authorised representative, at the office
<br />of the Clerk of the Town of Redwood
<br />City, and shall there register his name,
<br />residence and place of business, which
<br />act shall entitle him to a certlflcate of
<br />registration; provided, however, that
<br />no certificate of registration shall be
<br />granted for a period of time of more
<br />than one fiscal year or the unexpired
<br />portion thereof; and provided, further
<br />that no certlflcate of registration shall
<br />be Issued until the payment of a year-
<br />ly license of twenty-five ($26.00) dol-
<br />lars shall have been made to the said
<br />Clerk, which license fee shall be for the
<br />period of time for which the dertificate
<br />of registration Is granted. The term -
<br />covered by the words "fiscal year" as
<br />used herein shall extend from July the
<br />first of one year to the following June
<br />30th.
<br />Section 2. This ordinance shall be
<br />published once in the Redwood City
<br />Standard, a weekly newspaper, Pub-
<br />lished, printed and circulated In said
<br />Town of Redwood City and shall take
<br />effect from and after 30 days after Its
<br />passage.
<br />Introduced this 6th day of February,
<br />1928.
<br />Passed and adopted as an Ordinance
<br />of said Town of. Redwood City by the
<br />Board of Trustees of said Town at a
<br />regular meeting of said
<br />Board held on the 19th day of Febru-
<br />nry. 1923, by the following vote.
<br />Ayes and In favor of the passage of
<br />the foregoing Ordinance, Trustees,.
