<br />On motion of Trastee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Monteith, the minutes of Meetings heli.
<br />on Oct. 19th and 20th, 1825 be dispensed with until nect meeting. Motion carried.

<br />The following communication was received from Sidney Edward Mezes and on motion of
<br />Trustee Monteith, seconded by Trustee McNulty, same be received. and filed and a copy of same M111,
<br />be sept to Geo. C. Ross. Motion carried.

<br />Dear Mr. Price:
<br />I have received the certified copy of the I
<br />resolutions officially naming Mezes Plaza in your town and
<br />am writing to ask you to assure the Board of Trustees of
<br />my very sincere appreciation of this action in memory of my
<br />father. I recall -very well accompanying him to Redwood City
<br />on business many times, for George W. Fox, Fox & Ross and
<br />later George C. Ross were my father's business representatives
<br />in San Mateo County. I also recall the cordial neighborliness j
<br />of the citizens.
<br />A clear picture remains in my mind of the town j
<br />of those early days, with the street from the railway station i
<br />running passed the court -house and the street at right angles
<br />to it into which it led, these two main street forming a T and
<br />containing the chief business and residential building of the
<br />little town. By now, from what I hear, it is very much trans-
<br />formed and beautified, and no doubt would hardly be recognizable.
<br />It is therefore most gratifying to have such
<br />appealing evidence of the appreciation of the part my father
<br />took in the affairs of Redwood City,

<br />Communication from Fred. A. Gamboni of Fresno, California in regards to making up street is
<br />assessment roll, was on Motion of Trustee Monteith, seconded by Trustee McNulty, same be re-
<br />ceived and filed. Motion carried.
<br />Communication from the Standard Oil Company regarding the removing of one of the City
<br />poles at Claremont Ave and the Highway in front of their Service Stateion10, was on

<br />motion of Trustee Ryan seconded by Trustee McNulty, said permission be granted and the bill
<br />i'
<br />for removing sent to the Standard Oil Company for payment of same. Motion carried.
<br />Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company for a permit to set a pole on Charter
<br />Street as per blue Print #1093-R was on motion of Trustee Ryan, seconded by Trustee McNulty
<br />same be granted. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Ryan, seconded by Trustee Monteith, the City Clerk be authorized
<br />to advertise for bids for curbs and gutters around Mezes Plaza, bids to be opened Nov.. 16th
