166 <br />n <br />n <br />Redwood City January 24, 1927, 7.30 o'clock, P.M. <br />Regular adjourn meeting of the Board held. ! <br />Uponcroll call there were present Trustees Pres H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R.Staffo.id ; <br />G.W.MeNulty, E.M.Dearborn, Clerk W.A.Price, <br />Minutes of meeting held January 17th, 1927, was on motion of Trustee McNulty, seeondsd <br />by Trustee Stafford be dispensed with until next regular meeting. Motion carried. <br />A petition signed by seven (7) property owners asking the Board to improve Hillview <br />Ave, bet Oak Knoll Drive and Whipple Ave with curbing and paving with Warrenite Asphalti:s <br />b Trustee Thorning same be <br />concrete pavement was on motion of Trustee McNulty, seconded y g , <br />received and filed. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Dearborn seconded by Trustee McNulty they City Engineer be instruct)d <br />to draw up Plans and Specifications of`Hillview Ave as per request. Motion carried. <br />Application of George Erskine for a Electrical contracts license, was on motion of <br />Trustee Thorning, seconded by Trustee McNulty said application be granted. Motion carried. <br />Application of A. Singer; Menlo Park, for a war veteran exemption license to handle <br />junk in the Town�of Redwood City, was on motion Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee <br />Stafford said application be 'refer'red to the Police Dept for `action. Motion: carried. <br />Application of the Ztalian`Catholic Federation to hold a dance in Odd Fellows hall <br />Saturday evening Feb 19th, 1927, was on motion of Trustee Thorning, seconded by Trustee <br />Q <br />Stafford same be granted. Motion carried. ; <br />Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Co, for permission to set poles in various <br />location as per Blue Print No. 1314 - R, was on motion of Trustee Stafford, seconded by j <br />Trustee Thorning said permit be granted. Motion carried. <br />Trustee Dearborn offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption, Trustee <br />McNulty, seconds the motion, Motion carried. <br />0 <br />RESOLUTION. <br />REBOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City that whereas, there <br />has introducted in the Legislature of the State of California two bills known as Assembly <br />Bills Nos 19 and 21; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears to said Board that if said above numbered bills are passed by <br />the Legislature of this state and signed by the Governor, that they may seriously `interf3re <br />with certain of the grammar and high school districts in the County of San Mateo, <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by said Board of Trustees that this Board go on record in <br />opposition to the passage of said bills; and <br />BE I -T FURTHER RESOLVED THat the clerk forward a copy of this resolution to Assemb- <br />lyman Parkman and Senator Johnson of this district with a request they oppose the passag) <br />of the same. ` { <br />Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City at a regulw <br />meeting of said, Board held on the 17th day of January, 1927, by the following vote: <br />1 <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution, Trustees, 51 <br />i <br />THORNING, STAFFORD, go=TY, DEARBORN, BEEGER. <br />NOESSand against the passage of the foregoing Resolution, Trustees. <br />NONE. i <br />Absent Trustees, NONE. i <br />H.A.Beejger. <br />President of the Board of Trustees of the <br />Town of Redwood City <br />Attest, W.A.Price. 1 <br />Clerk of the Town of Redwood City <br />I hereby approve the foregoing Resolution this 17th day of January, 1927. <br />H.
