HE <br />Redwood City February 21, 1927, 7.30 o�cloek,P.M. <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Town Trustees held. <br />Upon roll "call there were present .Trustees Pres H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R.Staf- <br />ford, G.W.MeNulty, E.M.Dearborn, City Clerk W.A.Price. <br />Minutes of meeting held February 7th, 1927, was on motion of Trustee Ifonulty, secon <br />ded by Trustee"Stafford said minutes be dispensed with until next regular meeting, <br />Motion carried: <br />a <br />A petition' was presented to the Board by 17 property owners residing on or near May <br />Street in this`City asking the Board to repair and make passable May Street from the <br />Woodside Road west to Redwood Ave, was on motion of Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee <br />Stafford same be received and filed and said petition be referred to Trustee Dearborn <br />b <br />Chairman of the Street Committee. Motion carried. <br />Trustee McNulty offers Ordinance No.271, (AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE OF MILK <br />b <br />AND CREAM AND PROVIDING FOR A MILK INSPECTOR SERVICE FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD) and moves <br />its introduction, Trustee Dearborn seconds the motion..hMotion carried. <br />b <br />This being the time set for the opening of bids for the digging of a deep water well <br />P <br />it was on motion of Trustee Dearborn seconded by Trustee Stafford bids received for the <br />digging of the'well be returned to the Contractors unopened. Motion carried. <br />r <br />Communication from Mr C.D.Jessup in regards to the removal of three large eucalyptus <br />trees on lot 5"Blk 2, Dingee Park facing the Highway and owned by Mr Richard Welch, was <br />on motion of Trustee Dearborn, seconded by Trustee McNulty same be referred to the City <br />Attorney for a6tion. Motion carried. <br />Communication from the City and County of San Francisco stating they were recently <br />informed that Redwood City is planning to improve Avenue Del Ora and as Parcel 3 fronts <br />b <br />on this avenue I would like to have Redwood City accept a deed from the City and County <br />of San Francieo in order that the condition in the deed might be fulfilled, was on motioi <br />of Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Dearborn same be referred to the City Attorney far <br />a report on same. Motion carried. <br />Application of Louis M. Hess for taxi license in this City, was on motion of Trustee <br />McNulty, seconded by Trustee Dearborn said permit be granted providing he files his bond <br />in -accordance with the City Ordinance, Motion carried. <br />The following dance permits were granted on motion of Trustee Thorning, seconded <br />by Trustee Dearborn and carried to -wit. <br />Redwood Nest NO 1484 Order of Owls In I.O.O.F.Hall, Saturday eve Feb 26,1927,until One <br />o'clock. <br />Redwood City Liberty Club in I.O.O.F.Hall Saturday March 5th,1927, until One o'clock. <br />"Communication from the H.J.Reilly Auriliary No'70, Redwood City, thanking the <br />Board for the use of the Chamber Council room, was on motion of Trustee Stafford, secondsci <br />by Trustee Thorning same be received and filed. Motion carried. <br />CommunicatiSn from Leonard & Holt informing the Board that they had extended the <br />scope of their Insurance Department to Redwood City, was on motion of Trustee Thorning, <br />seconded by Trustee Dearborn same received and filed for future referrence.Motion carried. <br />Communication from H.W.Dessin and H.J.Dessin stating they are desirous of having <br />the park at the intersection of Heller and Main Streets removed, was on motion of Truster <br />McNulty, seconded by Trustee Thorning same be received and filed. Motion carried. <br />Application of the United Publicity Company for a permit to erect a sky sign on <br />the roof of the building at 227 Main Street, was on motion of Trustee McNulty, seconded <br />by Trustee Dearborn said permit be granted. Motion carried. <br />Petition from Six (6) propetty owners on Central Ave between Woodside Road and <br />Carlos Ave petitioning the Board to commence proceedings to improve said streets by grad - <br />ing and paving also to construct concrete curbs and gutters, was on motion of Trustee <br />0 <br />n <br />11 <br />
