<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present Trustees Pres,H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R.Staff-
<br />ord, G.W.McNulty, E.M.Dearborn, City Clerk W.A.Price.-
<br />Minutes of meetings held April 18th,and April 25, 19279 was on motion of Trustee Mc-
<br />Nulty, seconded by Trustee- Thorning said minutes be dispensed with until next regular
<br />meeting. Motion carried.
<br />A petitionfrom property owners and residents in the vicinity of Stambaugh and Cedar
<br />Streets concerning the unsightlt condition of that portion of Cedar Street it being
<br />used for the storage of old vehicles and farming implements, was on motion of Trustee
<br />MoNulty, seconded by Trustee Thorning same be referred to the Chief of Police to take
<br />up the matter with Mr Stewart. Motion carried.
<br />Application of Mr W.W.Thompson for a permit to construct a spur track to serve Block:
<br />11, 24 and part of 25, by crossing Willow;'Cooper, Laurel and Hancock Streets, Further-
<br />more, I would request that if permit be granted, in serving Block 11 and 24, that the
<br />track be constructed on the sidewalk area, where practical on Cooper Street, as shown or.
<br />accompanying drawing, the following reb6rt of the Planing Commission was presented to
<br />the Board "A motion was duly seconded and carried that this Commission recommend to the
<br />Board of Trustees of Rbdwood City that permission be granted to W.W.Thompson to construct
<br />a spur tract as outlined in his request", was on motion of Trustee Stafford seconded by
<br />Trustee Dearborn said application be granted with the exception of the track on inside
<br />of property line on N.E.Side of Lot 24, said track to be on street grade. Motion carried.
<br />Application of the Harmony Club to hold a One o'clock dance in Foresters Hall, on
<br />Saturday evening May 14, 1927, was on motion of Trustee Thorning seconded by Trustee
<br />Stafford said permit be granted. Motion carried.
<br />A petetion containing the names of 23 property owners on Manzanita, Laurel, Willow
<br />Streets between El Camino Real and Railroad, also Hancock and Cooper Streets between
<br />Spruce and Willow Streets petitioning the Board to commence proceeding to improve said
<br />street by grading and paving and by constructing concrete curbs and gutters, the type
<br />of pavement to be Warrenite-Bitulithic Wearing service, was on motion of Trustee Dear-
<br />born seconded by Trustee Thorning the City Eigineer be instructed to prepare Plans and
<br />Specifications in accorclance•with the petition. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Dearborn, seconded by Trustee Stafford the City Attorney Be
<br />instructed to amend the City Water Ordinance N6 2283 in accordance to the recommendatior
<br />of the Supt of Water. Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Trustee Stafford, seconded by Trustee McNulty, the Board of Trustees of the
<br />Town of Redwood City donate to the American Red Cross Redwood City Chapter the sum of
<br />$25.00 to the relle of the flood victims in the Mississippi Vallegy. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Stafford seconded by Trustee McNulty the Finance Committee loos+
<br />into the matter of collecting unsecured personal property tax. Motion carried.
<br />Reports of Building, Electrioal,l;lumbing Inspector, Chief of Police, and Poundmastrr
<br />was on motion og was motion of Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Stafford same be
<br />received and filed. Motion carried.
