<br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS, PROFILES AND SPECIFICATIONS No. J-

<br />RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Tovm of Redwood City, County of San Yateo,
<br />State of California, that C.L.Dimmitt, town Engineer of said Town, be and he is hereby
<br />ordered to prepare plans, profiles, specifications and estimates for doing the following
<br />`work and making the following improvements in said Town „ to -wit:
<br />That Madtsoa Avenue from a
<br />line across said Madison Avenue
<br />23.66 feet southwesterly from and
<br />parallel to the southwesterly line
<br />of Hudson Street to the north-
<br />easterly line of Hawes Street;
<br />Hawes Street from the southeast-
<br />erly line of Madison Avenue to
<br />the southeasterly line of Jeffer-
<br />son Avenue; Iris Street from the
<br />nor£hweaterly line of Madison Ave-
<br />nue to the southeasterly line of
<br />Jefferson Avenue; Quarts Street
<br />from the northwesterly line of Lot
<br />21 in Block 8, New High School
<br />Acres, as shown on the map there-
<br />of, of record in the Recorder's
<br />office of the County of San Ma-
<br />teo 1n Map Book 11 at pages
<br />26, 37 and 38 thereof, extended in
<br />a straight line across said Quarts
<br />Street, to the southerly line of
<br />Lot 10, Block 8, as shown on the
<br />map of said Now High Schogl
<br />Acres, extended in a straight line
<br />across said Quarts Street; Ruby
<br />Street from the northwesterly llue
<br />of Wilson Avenue to the north-
<br />westerly line of Jefferson Avenue;

<br />of the cement concrete pavement
<br />already constructed on ssid Hill-
<br />view Avenue near Whipple Ave-
<br />nue to the line of the asphaltic
<br />macadam pavement already con-
<br />structed on said Hillylew Avenue
<br />near Oak Knoll Drive; Opal Ave-
<br />nue from the and of the existing
<br />asphaltic macadam pavement OR
<br />said Opal Avenue near Oak Knoll
<br />Drive to the line of the existing
<br />asphaltic macadam pavement on
<br />said Opal Avenue near Brewster
<br />Avenue, including all street, ave-
<br />nue, lane and alley intersections
<br />and terminations and portions
<br />thereof within the lines of the
<br />several streets and avenues above
<br />described, be improved as follows,
<br />to -wit:
<br />That the said streets and aye-,
<br />nues and portions -thereof above
<br />described be graded for the full
<br />width thereof and for the lengths
<br />hereinbefore mentioned, and that
<br />the roadways of said streets and
<br />avenues and portions thereof
<br />above described be paved with a
<br />base course of asphaltic concrete
<br />two and one-half (2%) inches In
<br />thickness and a Warrenite Bitu-
<br />luthic wearing surface one and
<br />one-half (1%) inches in thickness,
<br />said pavement to be laid upon
<br />a three (S) inch base or cush-
<br />ion of broken stone. There
<br />Is excepted, however, from the
<br />above described work a strip
<br />twenty-four (24) inches in width
<br />Immediately adjacent to the curb
<br />lines on both sides o' the herein-
<br />before mentioned and described
<br />streets and avenues that are to
<br />be paved Which is reserved for
<br />concrete gutters;* provided, how-
<br />ever,
<br />owever, that a three (3) inch base or
<br />cushion of broken stone shrill be
<br />placed under all gutters .to be
<br />built as herein provided.
<br />That hydraulic cement concrete
<br />combination curb and gutter be
<br />constructed on both sides of all
<br />the hereinbefore mentioned and
<br />described streets and avenues and
<br />portions thereof that are to be
<br />payed, the curb portion of said
<br />com6tnation curb and cutter to
<br />be six (6) inches serosa the top
<br />and eleven (11) inches deep, and
<br />the gutter portion of said combi-
<br />nation
<br />ombination curb and gutter to be,
<br />twenty-four (24) inches wide and
<br />to be six and one-quarter (67A)
<br />,Inches thick next to the paye-
<br />meat and five (6) inches thick
<br />next <to the curb, and said com-
<br />bination curb and gutter shall be
<br />constructed at one time so- that
<br />there shall be no joint between
<br />the °curb and gutter. Said combi-
<br />nation curb and gutter shall also
<br />be constructed upon all corners of
<br />intersecting and terminating
<br />streets and avenues hereinbefore
<br />described to be payed.
<br />There In hereby excepted from
<br />the work hereinbefore described
<br />to be done that portion of Madi-
<br />son Avenue at the crossing of
<br />the creek between Iris and Hud-
<br />son Streets on said Madison Ave.
<br />nue, said portion being for a full
<br />width of the street and 63.6 feet
<br />z� in length; there is also excepted
<br />from all work hereinbefore men.
<br />tioned that portion of Ruby Street
<br />at the crossing of the creek be-
<br />tween Wilson Avenue and Jeffer-
<br />son Avenue on said Ruby Street,
<br />said portion being for the full
<br />width of the street and 24.04 feet
<br />in length. '
<br />Reference is hereby made to
<br />the Warrenite-Bitulithic license
<br />mixing agreement of the Warren
<br />Brothers Company, dated March
<br />the 18th, 1926, and now on file
<br />in the office of the Clerk of the
<br />Town of Redwood City.
