II <br />300 <br />i <br />Redwood City 816 t 6, 19272 8 o'clock P.M. <br />1. <br />Regular meeting of the City Councilmen was held. <br />Upon roll 'call there were present Councilmen, Z.T.Thorning, D.R.Stafford, G.W.McNult;r, <br />E.M.Dearborn, City Clerk, W.A.Price. ABSENT Councilman H.A.Beeger. <br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford, Councilman McNulty <br />be appointed Chairman pro -tem. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford, minutes of the previous <br />meeting be dispensed with until next regular meeting. Motion carried. <br />A petetion was received from 13 property owners Jackson St (500 block) to have two <br />street lights installed one at the intersection of Cleveland and Jackson Sts, and one <br />at the intersection of Fulton and Jackson Sts, was on motion of Councilman Dearborn, <br />seconded by Cuuncilman Stafford said petetion be received and filed, and referred to <br />the City Electrican to report back at next meeting, Motion carried. <br />Application of Al Markgraft Orchestra for dance permits to be held in Foresters <br />Hall until 12 oclock, was on motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman <br />Stafford said permits be granted. Motion carried. <br />Affidavit of Sam H. Winklebleck in the matter of Publishing, and affidavit of C.L. <br />Dimmitt in the matter of posting notice of Public Improvement under Resolution of Int- <br />ention No. �Y14, was on motion of Counei;l.man Stafford, seconded by Councilman Dearborn; <br />Same be received and filed. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Thorning offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption, Council- <br />man Stafford seconds the motion. Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK NO. J-14. <br />RESOLVED, THAT WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Redwood City did, on the 8th <br />day of August, 1927, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No. J-14 to order the here- <br />inafter described work to be done and improvements to be made in said Torun of Redwood <br />City; and <br />WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. J-14, <br />headecIMOTICE OF IMPROVE1,1ENT", were duly and regularly _)osted along the line of said <br />contemplated work and improvements and in front of all jhe property liable to be assessed <br />therefor, in time form, manner and number as required by law, as appears from the affid- <br />avits of C.L.Dimmitt, Supterintendent of Streets of the Town of Redwood City, and 11. J. <br />OSBORN, now on filed in the office of the Clerk of said Town; and <br />WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution of Intention No.J-14 and the notices of the <br />passage thereof, posted as aforesaid, said Council of the Town of Redwood City fixed <br />Tuesday, the 6th day of Sept, 1927, at the hour of 8 o'clock P.Ivi. of said day, at the <br />meeting place of said Council, in the council chamber in the Town Hall on Webster Street <br />in said Town of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, as the day, hour <br />and place when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work <br />and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No.J-14, or to the district <br />to be assessed for said work and improvements, or to the proposed grades at which said <br />work and improvements are to be done and made, could appear before said Council and show <br />why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried out in accordance with said <br />Resolution of Intention No.14, or why said proposed work and improvements should not be <br />carried out ant done at the proposed grades as shown on the plans, profiles and specif- <br />ications referred to in said Resolution of Intention No.J-14 and now on file in the off- <br />ice of the Clerk of the Town. of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place of aforesaid when and where any and all <br />persons having any objections to the proposed work and improvements described in said <br />Resolution of Intention No. J-14, or having any objections to the district to be assessed <br />therefor, or having any objections to the proposed grades at which said work and improve - <br />i <br />Ell: <br />0 <br />C`. <br />�i <br />I <br />
