<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Councilmen of the Town of Redwood City held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present, Councilmen, Pres H.A.Beeger, Z.T.THorning, D. R.
<br />Stafford, G.W.McNulty, E:. M. Dearborn, Absent City Clerk, W.A.Price, Councilman D. R.

<br />On motion of/TMcNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning, minutes of previous
<br />meetings be dispensed with until next regular meeting. Motion carried.
<br />11r Caruso addressed the Council in the matter regarding property he had bought loc-
<br />ated on the Cdoodside Road asking the Council place same in the business zone, the ChaiP-
<br />? man informed him.same had been place in the hands off the City Attorney for his report.

<br />Joseph Bertolucc/made application to the Council to have Block 10, Sweeney Addition
<br />f to put said block in the industrial district same was referred to City Attorney Mansfie]d
<br />to report back at next meeting.

<br />Communication from the South Redwood Improvement C1ub,regarding zoning, sewers, gas,
<br />water, and fire hydrants, was on motion received and filed.
<br />Mr Julius Smith appeared before tha Council in regards to having the the deposit
<br />system on all water meters installed was on motion the matter be referred to the City
<br />,Attorney to include same in the new Ordinance.
<br />The following dance permits were granted by the Council. to -wit;
<br />Bay View Lodge, No109 I.O.O.F. in I.O.O.F. Hall Saturdau eve Sept 24th219273
<br />Ray Davis in Foresters Hall Saturday eve Oct lst, 1927.
<br />Moved by Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn the City Clerk be auth-
<br />orized to sign lamp contract with the Redwood City Hardware Co, Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn a warrant be drawn
<br />in favor of James J, Stafford in the amount of $101000.00 6n his reappraisal contract,
<br />leaving a balance of 1500.00. Motion carried. Eli,
<br />Moved by Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty Building Inspector was
<br />authorized to have the roof of the Central fire repaired before the winter sets, in.
<br />Motion carried.
<br />RESOLUTION FIXING TAX RATE FOR THE TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY
<br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1927-1928.
<br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Redwood City that the rate of taxes for
<br />i
<br />i the fiscal year 1927-1928 for ganeral municipal purposes Lind for the general fund of
<br />i
<br />fsaid Town of Redwood City upon each $10100 of the assessed valuation of the property
<br />f in said Town be and the same is hereby fixed at 75�; and
<br />Be it further resolved that the rate of taxes for the fiscal year 1927-1928 upon
<br />,I each $100 of the assessed valuation of the property in said Town of Redwood City as
<br />said Town existed prior to the 8th day of June, 1926, the date when additional property
<br />was annexed thereto for the payi-ent of the Municipal Improvement Bonds of 1905 falling
<br />due and becoming payable during said fiscal year, together with the interest thereon,
<br />:i be and the same is hereby fixed at 4V; and
<br />` Be it further resolved that the rat of taxes for the fiscal year 1927-1928 upon
<br />f each $10100 of the assessed valuation of the property in said Tovm of Redwood City as
<br />said Town existed prior to the 8th day of June, 1928, the date when additional property
<br />was annexed thereto, for the payment of the Extension of the Water System Bonds falling
<br />due and becoming payable during said fiscal year, together with the interest thereon,
<br />be and the same is hereby fixed at 1V; and
