<br />A communication from the Redwoo2L.City Merchants Associattion in regards to the
<br />poor condition of Stafford Street calling their attention to the vast advantage to the
<br />community if Stafford Street was placed in good condition, was on motion of Councilman
<br />Stafford seconded by Councilman Dearborn same be received and filed. Motion carried.
<br />Application of Al Ilarkgraph Orchestra for dance permits in ForesterS Hall Wednesdly
<br />Councilman
<br />evenings October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, 1927, was on motion Stafford.,Sec-
<br />onded. by Councilman Dearborn said permits be granted. Motion carried.
<br />A 0_, -ed. dated Soltember 28, 1927, from the City and County of San Francisco, cov-
<br />ering an easement for road purposes over the Hetch Hetchy Aqueduct right of way in Lot
<br />4 of Eagle Hill Villa tract No.2,was received, and on motion of Councilman Stafford,
<br />seconded by Councilman Dearborn same be received and filed and the Clerk be constructed
<br />to have said deed recorded. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Dearborn the Dumbarton
<br />Bridge Co, be granted to hang a sign on the City of Redwood sign at the entersection of
<br />Broadway and the highway, also they be given permission to erect a sign at';the corner of
<br />maintenance
<br />Main and Phelps Streets, they to pay all expenses and./"ai"9 LL , all. of said work to be
<br />under the supervision of the Building inspector. Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty the salary of Treaa;i2..r
<br />urer and Tax Collector be yp'25.00 per month. Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning, the salary of the
<br />City Purchasing Agent and.',aceountant be �? per month, Drotion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Dearborn the salary of
<br />the Broadway Extension Commissioners be $150,00 per month, same to not exceed Nine (9)
<br />months. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Stafford, the salaries ani
<br />expenses of the Broadway Extension Commissioners be paid by warrant said warrants to be
<br />signed by the Commissioners or a majority of said Commissioners, (E.B.Fox, L.A.Heiner,
<br />and 1U.T.Kellogg) also said warrants to be signed by thr Mayor, Treasurer, and City Clerk
<br />all warrants to be drawn on the First National Bank. Motion carried.
<br />Reports of Ghi6f of Police, Building, Electrical, Plumbing Inspector, Poundmaster,
<br />were read and on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn said repo»ts
<br />be received and filed. Motion carried.
