<br />Regular meeting of the City Council held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present Councilmen, Mayor H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R.Staf-
<br />ford „ G.W.Mcff lty, E.M.Dearborn, City Clerk W.A.Pricer
<br />Minutes of meetings held March 26th, and Agril'2nd, 1928, were read and on motion of
<br />Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman McNulty same be approved as read, Motion carried,
<br />Application of Mr Henry Witte in behalf of the Lutheran Church for a permit to erect a
<br />building for church purposes at the corner of Jefferson Yve and Clinton St, Was on motion of
<br />Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford said permit be granted, Mojrion carried,
<br />On motion of Councilman Dearborn seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Supt of Water be
<br />instructed to extend the 8 inch water main on the Woodside Road to'the City limits on said
<br />Road and the Menlo Country Club be given permission to connect on end of water main at the
<br />City limmits. Motion carried,
<br />Application of Mr Bunyard for permission to erect a canopy over his oil station 0A the
<br />Woodside Road was on mtion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty said per-
<br />mit be granted in accordance with the ordinance. Motion carried.
<br />Affidavit of Jas D. Hedge in the matter of Publishing notice inviting sealed bids for
<br />a deep water well, was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Stafford said
<br />affidavit be received and filed. Motion carried,
<br />The following bids for a deep water well were received and publicly opened examined ani.

<br />Moved by Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that said bids be referred
<br />to the City Engineer to be reported back at next meeting, Motion carried.
<br />The report of the Planning Commission in regards to excepting a deed of the Cumming
<br />Sisters for the 25 foot alley running through lots 2 and 3 in Block B Vera Avenue Villas
<br />was on motion of Councilman Stafford seconded by Councilman McNulty the matter be laid over
<br />for one week. Motion carried.
<br />The following dance permits were granted on motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by
<br />Councilman Stafford, to -wit:

<br />Application of John Dahla, 430 Cresent Ave, San Francisco, for a license for Elecbrieal
<br />Contractor, was on motion of Couneilm Stafford seconded by Councilman McNulty, said lioens3
<br />be granted. Motion carried. y
<br />Communication from the Redwood City'Chamber of Commerce urgeing the Council to have a
<br />of the City
<br />new map/prepared as soon as possible , was on lotion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by
<br />Councilman McNulty same be received and filed.'Motion carried.
<br />A petition from Five (5) propertyowners of Laguna Street between Roosevelt and Oak
<br />Avenues asking the Councilman to start proceeding for improving said street, was on motion
